been doing this for a while now. i pick my selections usually about ten a day
all bets are never below 3/1 and martingale my stake until i hit a winner
e.g 25 at 4/1 gives me £100 profit then thats it for the day
if i pick a loser that will be added to the next bet works ok for me
from a starting bank of £2000 not foolproof i know but you can go at least 10
selections without a winner before bank is bust
any thoughts or comments welcome

if i cant get at least 3/1 then it will not be a bet

on a day when you dont get a winner and you lose your 2000 bank
does that have any knock oneffect for the morrow or do you just start again and record the 2000 loss on your spreadsheet? |

thanks middleman been doing it for a while now and could
stand a wipeout not that i am looking for one.just another way of betting i suppose the way i see it my judgement is pretty good anyway thats me done for the day good luck to you also |

Did you get at least 3/1 on Pocket Too ?
Do you take comm. into account ? Every type of martingale is flawed (as we all know) concentrating on higher priced selections may only extend the agony. Having said that, you may go on a long successful run first.  And I genuinely hope you do ! Best of luck ! |

if you can't win backing everything level stakes
a martingale long term is not going to help things, it will kid you and keep you alive and then you will hit the mother of all runs that kills you. that is mathematically certain i'm afraid. |

Trouble with 3/1 or better you cannot win why
look through the form book every year there more winners under 3/1 than over 3/1 hope that helps |

my staking plan is 1/200 of my bank to start with
stake can never decrease, only increase it can only increase if the bank is 210 times greater than the original 1/200 stake once it has increased, it can never decrease from that it can only increase if the bank is 220 times greater than then the 1/210 stake and so on and so on up to 1/250th now |

it's not necessarily a bad thing to adjust stakes if you are consistent
ie you set a win amount or lay liability each bet and adjust the stake with the odds, in the long run this should be as good as anything. the streams will be different yoiu will obviously not get so much volatility in returns with winners as level stakes. but increasing stake just because you are trying to cover previous losses is not good. |
