If and when LV is ever ahead of SIS, it's probably best to keep it quiet.

SIS home service is 4/5 seconds ahead of ATR....pretty much all the time!

does something happen to ruk's speed on saturdays, i keep getting the impression that their feeds are slowed on saturdays only.!!

Duffy, perhaps that is because Channel 4 shows racing on a Saturday and their analogue feed has only just been turned off in the North of England which was slightly in front of TurfTV.
Dustybin, SiS plus is in front of SiS who in turn is in front of Betfair live video. You can test the relative speeds of BLV and ATR.TurfTV is closer to being live than SiS but has been much slowed since March.RUK is close behind TurfTV,approx half a second, and then you have BLV.

What does SIS plus offer over plain old SIS?

That last race at perth the in-running prices didn't reflect the pics to my eye, i'm convinced that the ruk pics are slowed sporadically.

Goodwood on RUK was very hard the other day for sure. Seemed to be a mile behind

Kempton last night seemed to be further behind than usual to my eye.

definitely dodgy today and saturdays are very noticeable slower, and i don't think you can put it down to the analogue, my area was first to switch to digital and i never noticed it so much on saturdays as i do recently when i was behind the whole country.Grin

RUK and BLV are the same today whilst I cannot split SiS and BLV with ATR miles bhnd.

RUK seems to be much slower today. How far behind Turf TV is it

No change between RUK and Turf TV yesterday but SiS still "temporarily" slowed down Shocked

yeah i find Kempton to be spot on somedays and then miles behind on others, but I don't have TTV my analysis is based on the betting IR which obviously is a little bit hit and miss as you could simply have more on course IR players some days or more skilled IR players playing. I still think its utterly disgusting that ATR deliberately slowed their pictures to give PC payers a foot up. I wonder how thats gone for them, alot of people i know have quit playing IR so when they are only playing against themselves perhaps the transmission delay will be 'fixed'

Keefter, as people have been repeating your last line for several years, I wouldn't hold your breath.

gerard, I've been betting IR for living for 4 years and even i can see the huge difference in IR liquidity over the past 12 months. It will happen.

Liquidity IR is a joke now,the evening meetings and Irish stuff there's nothing in comparison to a few years ago.

Keefter, without playing my n0b's bigger than yours, I have been doing it for double that and throughout that time have heard "liquidity is way down, they will just be betting against each other soon and then things will change". It hasn't yet, and it won't anytime soon. Nobody would like you to be right more than me, by the way, as I am an old fossil who still does it from home...

gerard liquidity IR is HIT AND MISS and at the mo is very thin.
By:

When: 28 Sep 12 13:28
is liquidity down, or is it the way you play getting harder to get matched ?

i am sure someone will be able to answer this with stats or records of in-running ammounts

fair enough Gerard, I'm also an old fossil who does it from home. I wasnt trying to start and knob comparison contest I was just illustrating the point that I do this every single day and am not just a casual IR punter so I feel that my opinion was somehow more valuable. Perhaps its just wishful thinking on my part.

far too much of an imbalance imo between backers and layers....when i first started IR layers outweighed backers by about 4 to 1 now it's the other way round on track.....there just isn't enough quality prices on the "dangers" and the markets on the winners go short quickly....the delays on atr and ruk and also the cross matching bot taking the "juice" combined with more people paying pc...well its got to have an effect negatively on liquidity
By:
andyl
When: 28 Sep 12 13:37
that is just my opinion of course Sad

andy is rite tbh.

Also alot of the box lads are pretty desperate to make sure they get on, theyve got the exes to get worst way, i imagine thats why a few of em have gone over the last year or 2.

No worries Keefter, let's all hope things do change one day, preferably before we are fossils in coffins.....

I think Stratford has been fine today. Shame I've made a mess of it thus far, although in my defence I had to get up early for the 12 o clock start so I'm not feeling too clever.

Premium charges might have to go up if the liquidity is dropping like a stone Shocked
By:

When: 28 Sep 12 16:11
Either that or they can sort out a level playing field for all and see the liquidity rise again.

sensed today that ruk is back to normal....lv has been good at stratford too....be interesting with regards to ruk tomorrow as that's when i tend to get the impression that the feed is slowed....4 good meetings tomorrow too, hope it's ok.
