We'd be as well just sending these kvnts our money through the post. Maybe that's what betfair meant with that advert "cut out the middleman".

I'm really surprised at the apathy there is to a lot of these gambles. Unlike the obvious chokes in the old betfair days the gambles rarely get a mention on here, yet in a lot of cases the preceding runs must have been chokes. It would appear the BHA see the few easys followed by a gamble as fair game. Who can blame them when punters are willing to accept horses running last in their last few runs then winning at a ridiculously low price without so much as a whimper.

morning halycon. The thing is, even when they are easy to read you're never going to get on for much more than crumbs. Betfair's interface allows THEM to undercut all and sundry. e.g. suppose betfair were betting on a coin toss and 10,000 customers wanted to back heads for a hundred at 2.0 and 10,000 customers wanted to lay heads for a hundred at 2.0. A corrupt insider knows the coin is heavily weighted in favour of tails so he offers to lay heads for a million at 2.1. Betfair will accommodate the insider at the expense of the other 10,000 customers who want to lay heads. It's a cr@p system.

There should be two exchanges - one for THEM and one for US. THEY wouldn't last five minutes. |
