fontwell and curragh were only about 2 seconds behind ATR here . usually live video is 3.5 - 4.5 seconds ahead
Confused
Pause Switch to Standard View Live Video , slower than usual ?

I eventually got a fraction over 3s ahead at fonters, but no sign of the 4+ we have been getting....
Report starfish and coffee September 9, 2012 2:26 PM BST
Maybe better to slow it down for them rather than keep cutting out 2 to go?

2 to go to obvious and many clicking on
Report gerard September 9, 2012 2:27 PM BST
York fine (same as RUK as usual).
Report starfish and coffee September 9, 2012 2:32 PM BST
Yep Lamott, same thing happened when ATR behind the red button was same speed as SIS. They soon put an end to that
Report john92 September 9, 2012 2:42 PM BST
Around 3.4 secs here.
Report diddler September 9, 2012 2:43 PM BST
deffo 1.5 secs behind sis at fonters
Report starfish and coffee September 9, 2012 2:47 PM BST
It's a second behind at the curragh. Have had it to .2 of a second before. Definitely slower
Report starfish and coffee September 9, 2012 2:47 PM BST
Behind SIS that is
Report DOUBLED September 9, 2012 2:54 PM BST
stop complaining , its only a fiver a race Laugh
Report gerard September 9, 2012 2:54 PM BST
At the risk of adding further fuel to the conspiracy fire, why is the relative speed to RUK unaffected?
Report starfish and coffee September 9, 2012 3:03 PM BST
Because SIS charge 8k a year ?
Report duffy September 9, 2012 3:13 PM BST
duffy     06 Sep 12 17:47
If they were intent on sabotage they'd slow the pics down on the lv feed .

This is one conspiracy theory i definitely subscribe too, in truth i am surprised it hasn't happened sooner.....have to monitor it closely.
Report starfish and coffee September 9, 2012 3:18 PM BST
Fontwell is near a second behind SIS. As said previously used to get live video to near .2 of a second behind so there has been a definite increase in Live video speeds lately.

It could be however that SIS have speeded up a tad lately since some tracks went fibre optic.
Report gerard September 9, 2012 3:28 PM BST
That wouldn't explain the difference between LV and ATR contracting though.
Report gerard September 10, 2012 2:02 PM BST
Back to 4s at Newcastle....
Report rcing September 10, 2012 2:21 PM BST
yep , seems better than yesterday
Report bilbobaggins September 10, 2012 2:28 PM BST
Was fine yesterday as it is today. Sure it's not your PC rcing?
Report rcing September 10, 2012 2:34 PM BST
bilbo , the speed of the pictures were slower yesterday , the reliability was good .
pc is fine here
Report gerard September 10, 2012 2:35 PM BST
Rcing is correct.
Report duffy September 10, 2012 2:35 PM BST
I thought it was behind yesterday tbh, the speed is better today although , the general quality is a tad spluttery i think.
Report john92 September 10, 2012 2:41 PM BST
It was definitely a bit slower yesterday. It seems fine today touch wood.
Report Gerbs September 10, 2012 2:42 PM BST
it was also slow  at stratford on saturday could only get it to 3s ahead of atr despite reloading numerous times during race
NA looks ok today
Report broadsword September 10, 2012 3:47 PM BST
gone slower here now.....approx 2.5sec infront atr
Report broadsword September 10, 2012 3:53 PM BST

Report BESTMATE44 September 10, 2012 3:53 PM BST
Yes
Report MARILYNMANSON September 10, 2012 3:54 PM BST
If they do not provide the service, maybe we should all demand our money back?
Report quevega81 September 10, 2012 3:54 PM BST
lost bath also - come back on again 5strides past the winning line - handy!
Report misselephantstone September 10, 2012 3:55 PM BST
yes...then came back after they had crossed the line..
Report Rollo Tomasi September 10, 2012 3:56 PM BST
Sorry, I put my chair down on the cable.
Report clouded leopard September 11, 2012 12:45 PM BST
ttt
Report duffy September 12, 2012 3:53 PM BST
I reckon it's slowed down again today.
Report clouded leopard September 12, 2012 4:08 PM BST
without a doubt slower

1 sec ?

they do not want us to make money and they will do anything
Report duffy September 12, 2012 4:11 PM BST
galway was ok tbh but uttox and donny are slower and with the odd stutter thrown in to take a few more fractions off which only levels out when you're down to a couple of secs, it ain't good.
Report clouded leopard September 12, 2012 4:16 PM BST
so we've had no loss of pics today and in fact it's been a little better this week

but they couldn't have that , so lop a second or so off the speed

always something in place to fk it up

what's interesting is nobody knows why it cuts out during a race but the supplier has seen fit to put an extra delay in

smells
Report starfish and coffee September 12, 2012 4:19 PM BST
Cutting out 2 furlongs out every other race was far too obvious, better to just gradually slow the feed hoping people are non the wiser.
Report clouded leopard September 12, 2012 4:20 PM BST
we never used to get the cut out

before that it was the ridiculously obvious pausing to bring it back to ATR speeds
Report clouded leopard September 12, 2012 4:25 PM BST
abt a seconds diff with ATR come the finish at uttox.

woe
Report bilbobaggins September 12, 2012 4:26 PM BST
Ok guys - posted earlier in the thread that I thought you were mistakes but have taken my own readings today and completely agree with you -it's about a second bloody slower that it has been and should be which can only be deliberate.
Report duffy September 12, 2012 4:27 PM BST
what we're getting more of again which is something that used to happen alot is the odd pause, so you may stumble across a good few seconds ahead feed but by the time the race is at it's business end , that has been eroded away.
Report gerard September 12, 2012 4:29 PM BST
This may (and I stress may) be a red herring in terms of skullduggery. My understanding (for reasons that weren't crystal clear) was that SIS itself produces pictures that have different delays from different tracks. If it was going to be deliberately slowed across the board, why was yesterday right back up to as quick as it's been? I have also had 4s ahead of ATR (just about) today.
Report duffy September 12, 2012 4:31 PM BST
galway seems ok, don't know whether it being an irish track has any significance or not.
Report gerard September 12, 2012 4:34 PM BST
Backs up what i'm saying I think Duffy - as does the fact there were SIS ers complaining how far behind they felt at Donny today.
Report clouded leopard September 12, 2012 4:36 PM BST
why has this never happened before tho gerard ?
Report gerard September 12, 2012 4:44 PM BST
I think it has tbh, but there are so many variables (does it load instantly, is there stuttering etc) that it goes unnoticed. I also don't think that many tracks are affected. I could be completely wrong, but i do know even people who use SIS have previously thought/known that they get differing speeds from different tracks.
Report rcing September 12, 2012 4:50 PM BST
doncaster seems normal here .
i just keep refreshing until i get around 4 seconds ahead of ATR/RUK.

i was told about 8 months ago , that there are only around 50 home subscribers for SIS . would you think this figure to be about right ?
Report dustybin September 12, 2012 4:56 PM BST
home SiS sent me an email the other day telling me that they were around 1.5 seconds to 2 seconds ahead of ATR
I wrote back asking them to look again at that data as ATR was now so delayed that 2 seconds in front of it was pointless
Im still waiting for a response.

Incidentally my other questions were not answered by them either, does anybody know what happens at the end of the 2 year contract, does it go into a rolling period or do they expect you to keep signing into 2 year contracts?
Report duffy September 12, 2012 5:02 PM BST
Like you say dusty, their sales pitch ain't up too much!! incidentallty, that uttox race was hopeless, even if you got a decent time delay it always stutters.
Report bilbobaggins September 12, 2012 5:02 PM BST
1.5 or 2 seconds? They're joking or incompetent.
Report rcing September 12, 2012 5:06 PM BST
carlisle , only a fraction behind RUK , about 0.2
Report duffy September 12, 2012 5:11 PM BST
atr tracks will always be the problem, the quality today is also hopeless, pauses all over the place.
Report bilbobaggins September 12, 2012 5:19 PM BST
Must admit duff - I haven't had too many problems today.
Report duffy September 12, 2012 5:35 PM BST
Dusty,
I am inclined to agree with your thoughts because the irish today seems far better in terms of feed and general quality, it seems to depend on individual tracks, some better than others, if you get a few baddies on the same day, it looks bad.
Report bilbobaggins September 12, 2012 5:41 PM BST
Galway is 1 sec quicker than Uttoxeter
