duffy 06 Sep 12 17:47 If they were intent on sabotage they'd slow the pics down on the lv feed .
This is one conspiracy theory i definitely subscribe too, in truth i am surprised it hasn't happened sooner.....have to monitor it closely.

Fontwell is near a second behind SIS. As said previously used to get live video to near .2 of a second behind so there has been a definite increase in Live video speeds lately.
It could be however that SIS have speeded up a tad lately since some tracks went fibre optic.

galway was ok tbh but uttox and donny are slower and with the odd stutter thrown in to take a few more fractions off which only levels out when you're down to a couple of secs, it ain't good.

so we've had no loss of pics today and in fact it's been a little better this week
but they couldn't have that , so lop a second or so off the speed
always something in place to fk it up
what's interesting is nobody knows why it cuts out during a race but the supplier has seen fit to put an extra delay in
smells

Ok guys - posted earlier in the thread that I thought you were mistakes but have taken my own readings today and completely agree with you -it's about a second bloody slower that it has been and should be which can only be deliberate.

what we're getting more of again which is something that used to happen alot is the odd pause, so you may stumble across a good few seconds ahead feed but by the time the race is at it's business end , that has been eroded away.

This may (and I stress may) be a red herring in terms of skullduggery. My understanding (for reasons that weren't crystal clear) was that SIS itself produces pictures that have different delays from different tracks. If it was going to be deliberately slowed across the board, why was yesterday right back up to as quick as it's been? I have also had 4s ahead of ATR (just about) today.

I think it has tbh, but there are so many variables (does it load instantly, is there stuttering etc) that it goes unnoticed. I also don't think that many tracks are affected. I could be completely wrong, but i do know even people who use SIS have previously thought/known that they get differing speeds from different tracks.

doncaster seems normal here . i just keep refreshing until i get around 4 seconds ahead of ATR/RUK.
i was told about 8 months ago , that there are only around 50 home subscribers for SIS . would you think this figure to be about right ?

home SiS sent me an email the other day telling me that they were around 1.5 seconds to 2 seconds ahead of ATR I wrote back asking them to look again at that data as ATR was now so delayed that 2 seconds in front of it was pointless Im still waiting for a response.
Incidentally my other questions were not answered by them either, does anybody know what happens at the end of the 2 year contract, does it go into a rolling period or do they expect you to keep signing into 2 year contracts?

Like you say dusty, their sales pitch ain't up too much!! incidentallty, that uttox race was hopeless, even if you got a decent time delay it always stutters.

Dusty, I am inclined to agree with your thoughts because the irish today seems far better in terms of feed and general quality, it seems to depend on individual tracks, some better than others, if you get a few baddies on the same day, it looks bad.
