Frankly security at all racecourses is all the old boys who are >80 and happy to work for fack all and hopefully a winning tip. Been going down hill for ages...too many coach trips and they are already more than half gone before they get in.
Too many horses and too many rubbish races. I can't see things staying as they are it's just not a viable business model and all the gamberholics are hooked on FOBT's and bingo.com or some other shyte. R.I.P British Racing especially when Channel 4 are going to have all the racing and can't even be bothered to show a Group 3 live better to show another advert than show a horse race. |

If some ignorant Welsh hooligans want to fight do it in Cardiff or Swansea not at an English racecourse. I once went to see Wales play at Anfield and the level of obscenity and racism was beyond anything I had before heard and I used to stand on the Stretford End at Old Trafford in the 1970s and 80s. I was a student in Cardiff and went to many rugby matches. Drink was taken to excess but the Welsh never fought between themselves or people from other countries. The 40 hooligans should be identified and banned for life from every racecourse and football ground in the country.

Clearly from the you tube footage
1) Dozens of innocents, including women hung around close to the fighting, enjoying it, egging it on, filming it. 2) All those in the stands were cheering, clearly not intimidated, enjoying the spectacle with 30 minutes to kill, errr every 30 minutes. 3) Only a tiny handful were fighting and only amongst themselves. 3) Those hurt in the fight werent looking to get away. Obviously stewards and police should sort it out but good grief the nonsense spouted on here. A tiny irrelevance, bit of fun for those watching and participating and they all have a quick story to tell in the pub, big deal. |
