It was Cardiff 'supporters' fighting Swansea, let the Welsh inbreds kill each, I haven't got an issue with that but stay away from the racecourses in future chaps thanks very much.

Inspector Phil Rogers said that there were only a few minor injuries and that no complaints were made to police.

Disgraceful scenes at a horse meeting.  If u let scum in and drink ALL day what else do u expect.  Come racing and drink as much as u want.

Totally agree with the comments about alcohol here and thought it was ridiculous when they started allowing people to drink in the stands and the betting ring. Will these yobs please stay away from our sport.

This could soon have been stopped with Big Mac in the middle of them telling them to grow up and behave.

Over the years violence among rival Welsh coach parties at Newbury Races has become something of a habitual problem, most scraps have usually occurred in the coach parking area however,I recall an incident in the early 90's when a fight broke out in Tatts bar with bottle being thrown through an elevated a television screen.
The only other racecourses I have personally witnessed fighting are Ascot and Newmarket.

also at Kempton.

Coach party from wales  a recurring theme...they should all be tagged and any trouble barred from the racecourse

Worst violence I have seen at a raceourse in over 25 years working for the caterers in the south. It's always been Welsh travelling up the M4 to Newbury that's been the problem. One group were ejected for being D&D before all hell broke lose. Most were drunk (and/or on drugs) before they got there. Security were overwhelmed with the numbers involved, and never has it been more difficult to get a drink oncourse, as any under 25 will testify and a crackdown by local police for at least the last two years. Spoilt a lot of peoples days as we had to close the bars in the grandstand and involve the police and even the army.

Funny that - I'm an annual member and haven't worn a tie for about 5 years so you must be confused!

Not unusual at Haydock. Although, funnily enough, not during the NH season...

Not during the NH season is correct Gonzo in my experience , maybe the soccer pond life have something better to do that time of the year & prefer to mix with their own type.

Seen these sort of incidents at the Rowley Mile, Newmarket. It never happened 20 years ago. Racing has brought it on itself by heavily marketing it, and trying to get more and more people through the turnstile, and then plying them with drinks. At Newmarket, they had these people wondering round with kegs of beer for backpacks, and they basically were encouraging racegoers to buy a pint off them as soon as they entered the racecourse. It's appalling. We live in a drunk, anti-social, broken society. Blair's Britain.

Yes its all about the money. Perhaps they should have a massage parlour area for the highly strung and only sell beer with a meal.

having watched the incident on youtube and red the comments ,a couple of things dont add up . firstly since when do cardiff or swansea fans go to newbury races in suits collar and ties on a saturday *ISS UP,secondly a rugby club in gorseinion is mentioned along with the dragons which is the newport dragons  rugby  and they are hardly city fans
