BC can win how she likes down under, the fact is when she came to britain she was gasping for air and fell over the line regardless of the jock and that is the image that all of us over here will ever remember of her and nothing will ever change our minds.....and that fact is something that really riles a lot of the aussies for absolute certain.

LOL @ Spoonhead you thick fcuk, you can't even tell when someone is supporting the Aussie horses and Alf Awoody is suggesting Black Caviar came out on top after all of today's form lines.....the only flaw there being that BC beat Society Rock 2L despite the starter costing SR the race and today Mayson beat SR 6L.

I'll give it one try at being sensible, Duffy.
"We" never sent a boxer over to fight an English opponent. With the victor to achieve eternal bragging rights. "We" sent a sprinting horse, the likes of which have not been seen before or at least for generations. Her origins and the origins of the opposition is irrelevant. A display of her best would have been fitting for all (balanced/normal )racing fans over there...and it would have not involved parochial bragging rights. Capeesh? |

You mean because it's "pro" I must agree with it? I did read it and don't subscribe to any of it. Guesswork imo. Now re-read your post....ummmmm silly little dweeb. Best you don't speak anymore.Spare yourself from exposing further shortcomings ![]() |

their best female human sprinter hurdler has just been beaten for the first time in about 50 races at CP...great timing with the Olympics just around the corner.
Their tennis players and golfers are never sighted in the latter stages of Majors these days and their cricket team has just been whitewashed in the ODIs - to be fair, we should only give them three Test Matches next year - they're just not competitive enough these days - what would you expect when you replace a proper bloke like Ricky Ponting with a pansy like Michael Clarke? Where have all the great Aussie sportsmen gone? |

Come on poms five the Covos a break - yet again Aussie sprinters prove their level as Soul (G2 winner in Aus) did win a (poor) group 3 at Newbury today. Their sprinters are always miles better than ours as they just keep on winning over here.

The Aussie class/form looks dubious when BC wins at 7f in Australia but starts to bottom out over 6f at Ascot. Moody was yabbering on that she would be a world class miler if trained to be.
![]() .....what she proved at Ascot was that she was a 5f one trick pony on the world stage....She was not injured but she was just about phucked at 6f at Ascot. |

I made a perfectly reasonable original point in this thread racing related only about how a couple of so called Aussie best sprinters in the world had one beaten out of sight at RA and then both beaten in the July Cup, including one out of the frame and just touching off by a nose a faithful old Scottish trained handicapper and the other only beating one home and 26L behind the winner at 6f and then Spoonhead comes back with a personal dig and then has the front to ask when I respond if he has touched a nerve. Seems like the only nerved touched was to do with the Aussie sprinters!
LOL @ best sprinters in the world.....might even be true if the world only existed of Australia and nothing else. |

Spoonhead obviously clueless to the difference between an opinion and a fact.
It wasn't an opinion that the two Aussie superstar sprinters finished well beaten, it was a fact. Handicapper Hawkeyethenoo ridden by an ex-jump jockey in his first season on the flat here, won 7 from 32 and so not even 25% of his races, on a losing run of 5, rated 103 and still only beaten a fast diminishing nose by a 115 horse and the other beat one home and this from supposedly the country with the best sprinters in the world. ![]() Nothing funnier than being called a fool by a total idiot with a lack of self awareness. ![]() |

Just watched a show on Sky about Black Caviar's trip to Ascot. Part of the show covered the
previous performances by M Andretti, Choisir, T Target, S S Banner, Scenic Blast. All high quality sprinters here before heading over. Find someone (without an agenda) to put any of them in the same bracket with BC and I'll show you a Unicorn. That is all. ![]() |

I have read with interest some of your posts and to me you seem totally incapable of a balance argument about your home grin horses , in fact you are so wrapped up in the Aussi is best craaap that you ignore people who are actually backing up your views. Truth is and the fact is ( despite your denying such ) BC did NOT blow very average horses away here despite all the bluff and guff being spouted beforehand She is a wonderful mare and a credit to Aussi racing BUT to suggest she is the second coming is frankly a little silly don't you agree ? There have been sprinters here in the past such as Lochsong / Dayjur to name but 2 that imho would have eaten here alive but that is my opinion You mistake YOUR opinion with it being FACT and acting like a silly father suggesting his rather tubby daughter is the fastest kid in school , calm down / stop ranting and then perhaps others here might listen with a degree of openness GL Ed |

Black Caviar is a 5 furlong horse at somewhere like Ascot. She was burnt out over the 6f.
This explains her running to below expectations and not baloney excuses about muscle tissue tares etc. All horses suffer these when stretched to the limits. We Brits have never hailed our sprinters as none of them ever dominate, barring a couple such as Dayjur. The Australians seem to think that Soul franked the form at Newbury on saturday. Let me remind them he was top rated on official ratings on 115. He should theoretically have won the race. Oh yes he really franked the form of BC. Confirming her to be one and a quarter lengths better than a 120 horse perhaps. An English form line through Star Witness and Ortensia suggests Black Caviar ran to form at Ascot. Confirming my thoughts that she struggled to stay the 6f at Ascot. |
|
By:
6 furlongs in a bog is not what she wants really and Mayson has an action to power through the bog. So no i dont think BC would have won.
|
|
By:
Just to add. On good/firm ground i would not split Frankel and Black Caviar over 5 furlongs. She is a monster over 5 furlongs. As an English man i still feel this.
|
|
By:
Black Caviar might have manager 22 Sellers/Claimers/Hcaps in the UK if she had been around the likes of.
Dayjur Spindrifter Amaranda Chaplins Club Glencroft Even Ardross would have given her a race, that is how good she is in reality.hth ![]() |

We should have seen her over 5 furlongs and not the 6. At 5 furlongs i am sure she is up with the best. |
