![]() this clown lettuce grower is bumping every thread to post the same fooking thing that nobody even cares about. ![]() i just want to talk horse racing and this was a great thread that i posted many well thought opinions on whether anyone agreed with them or not, it was just healthy debate. this ![]() is ruining the forum but if hes gonna be around ill be happy to make an example of him but u are right about keeping it to one thread and i wont post anymore on this thread, although i feel its ruined already by yer man with the big 'company', posting at the crack of dawn on the bf forum before he heads off to 'london' for a few 'beers' with his 'mates' ![]() |

1m6f =2m YDC
![]() That was not a mistake - he was attempting to ridicule me for politely pointing out to another poster that the Melbourne Cup is run over 2m rather than 1m6f. It was nasty and vicious and it backfired. He also claimed to be running a business employing 52 people when in actual fact he is a graduate who cant get a job. That is some pretty sad stuff. Anyway I have blocked him now so that's that. |

It appears the block is not working,
Working from home today Buses. That's something that comes as part of the package when you raise money to establish a business based on your market reputation and aa sound financial business plan. You won't learn that on the Playstation ![]() Are your Micro Chips ready yet? And now I'm all alone in bedsit land my only home.....................................Actually you and Mark Almond probably have a lot in common - you like a good old guzzle on the spaff pipe. You even post pictures of choir boys you big unemployed useeless drain on the country's resources. YOU DO NOT WORK. YOU ARE SPONGING SCUM. That is all. |
|
By:
It was a decent thread until you started spouting the assertion that no horse could be termed a champion unless it had won over a variety of distances.
Ergo in your eyes Shergar, Dayjur Big Buck's, Denman , Istabraaq, Sea Pigeon , Yeats and presumably Frankel cannot be considered great horses. Fecktard. |

C'mon you guys. Isn't it about time we started to get on with one another? I left the thread because it was descending into the usual abuse and insults and then it just got worse and worse.
Try to remember this is a horse racing forum where like minded folk get together to discuss horse racing matters. No-one gains when posters are accused of being 'clueless' or a 'moron'. If you disagree with another poster's ideas then just say so using sensible and respectful language. It really isn't difficult and everyone gains. If someone makes a mistake just point it out properly and respectfully, that way we all get on. Can you imagine what this forum would look like to an outsider with all of the rubbish going on? That is why I left because I really don't want to leave myself open to abuse and ridicule all of the time by a bunch of yobs. I make mistakes like everyone else, I have my views and an opinion, like everyone else and I am wrong, just like everyone else. So just imagine you are standing in the pub with a group of mates discussing something you all enjoy. I'm sure, hopefully, you would show a little more respect if that was the case. If not then don't come onto these threads ruining them for everyone else. If that can be achieved then this forum will be a joy to behold and will be frequented by lots of genuine horse racing folk where proper discussions can take place and lot of fun can be had, but not at the expense of others. |

Well said Brigust - Welcome back.
Apologies from me if I caused any offence. Whilst I violently disagree with some of your opinions you are a good egg. Hip Priest. |

It is conceivable thinking about how the race will pan out that Frankel can improve its mark today.

I agree with Brigust, only read the first couple of pages mind but he makes some wonderful points such as the one below.
"Brigadier Gerard, like Frankel was unbeaten over a mile and beat a great horse in Mill Reef at level weights. Can you match that?" How can you argue with that when, as Brigust says, Mill Reef won 10 Gr 1's at a time when there were far fewer of them. |

How can you argue with that when, as Brigust says, Mill Reef won 10 Gr 1's at a time when there were far fewer of them Sorry you can easily argue with that. Frankel has put up at least three (Royal Lodge / Guineas/ Sussex Stakes last year)unique in their own way visual performances. Collateral form suggests through some extremely reliable yards sticks that 140 is not unreasonable at this stage and it is highly unlikely that the 'proper' Group Ones are anything but much, much harder to win that they were 40 years ago. i don't wish to compare the two but I can say that since I started watching the sport in 1985 Dancing Brave , Frankel and Dayjur are the best horses to grace the turf in this country. Frankel could still post something approaching 145 in my opinion. |
|
By:
I have to disagree with your comment about 'much, much harder'. In the early 70's there was only one Group 1 race over a mile barring the 2000 Guineas and that was the Sussex Stakes. In all of the other mile races like Lockinge, Queen Anne and QE11, the classic winner or Group 1 winner had to give penalties to his rivals. How can that be easier? When BG won the QE11 in '72 he had to give 7lbs to Sparkler who had just won the Queen Anne carrying 9st 8lb with the second horse, the favourite, only carrying 8st 10lbs. Imagine how easily Sparkler would have won off level weights. BG then beat Sparkler 6 lengths in course record time.
When BG won the Lockinge he had to give 22lbs to the second horse. In fact many of these races like the Lockinge, Queen Anne and Prince of Wales are for 4 and upwards. Therefore even removing the weight for age allowance. When BG won the POW he gave 19lbs and a 5 length beating to that year's Irish Derby winner. Cannot possibly be harder today. |

Oh Mr Brigust is back eh, I do hope you are going to apologize for
your vile unwarranted outburst eh, "you moron, I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire etc. I'll expect nothing less |

so what was the 22lb if not WFA? 22lb of penalties?! |

The class of these two animals is best settled by the origins of their names. One is named after a classic military Conan Doyle hero and the other an average Welsh NH trainer.

You are correct Motley. It is difficult not to get caught up in the abuse when a civil discussion is much more sensible and actually gets somewhere.
I won't apoligise for calling you a moron because, in your own words, you are a self confessed moron. But I will apologise for saying I would not p i ss on you if you were on fire. If you were on fire of course I would. |

Not sure it would be a good idea tbh.....from a practical point of view.

Haven't read all of this thread but have no doubts whatsoever that over a mile Frankel is easily the best we've ever seen. In fact I find it remarkable that people can't see that. In many ways his greatest problem is that he does it so easily so that when other very good horses look laboured people say they ran below form with no real evidence.
Whether this makes him the greatest ever is debatable as versatility is clearly a factor in deciding greatness. However, if anyone seriously thinks that Brigadier Gerard, Dancing Brave etc would have beaten Frankel over a mile they need to stick to watching racing for enjoyment and certainly not betting on it. |
