Look at the National field and imagine Long Run was top-weight coming in to the race after winning the Gold Cup - 10/3 right? Well Synchronised has just won the Gold Cup and however many times you replay the race, he won on merit. Can McCoy give 1lb to Ballabriggs, 7 to Black Apalachi, 16 to Treacle and 24 to the bottom-weights? I don't see a problem. Killyglen and Giles Cross must be respected off low weights but I don't think Giles X is a National horse.

10/1 is a mistake that must be punished and JP McManus is certain to be weilding the cane and I don't imagine any fractions left by the time the starter dons his bowler. In fact, the owner's Sunnyhill Boy may be the one to keep AP up to his work on the way to the line.

Oh yes it can.
And Ladbrokes are going 12/1 (according to Spyker). That's pathological.

You need your head examined if you are even thinking of backing Synchronised, I just cannot have the beast on my mind at all.

Are you being serious Long run would be 10/3 for this if he won the gold cup in what fantasy land would be such a stupid price i wish he was i could lay him for fortunes place and win .. I would back not to finish if he was in the race ....... And sync is no value either a rubbish price he wont win .....

For me JUNIOR has become a must back price although 11-1 with faller insurance is tempting

The problem is not jonjo bookies are hyping up this animal they want to take money for it they know it wont win... Huge weight, hard race at chelts coming up against fresh horses, dodgy jumper, will be on and of the bridle all race and this is the favorite for the national work that out..

A muted reception so far. Maybe some people made up their minds about what could and could not win the National when the weights came out. I don't imagine AP will make much use of him on the first circuit, so Synchronised may actually be suited by the extra distance in that he won't be under pressure to lay upside the lead early. Welsh national win was 3 3/4m on more testing ground. In any case, nobody should dismiss Synchronised on the grounds that Festival form doesn't transfer to Aintree.  The extra week's interval between the two meetings has made the old cliche redundant; just look at the first two days' results. Synchronised  I'm very optimistic about his chance.

prices with vc seem to be a couple of prices shorter than most firms .. I will split may stake take half with the best price and half with vc if they are not more than two points shorter

I would rather join the Synchronised  Mu£fdiving team in the Olympics than put money on the falsest favourite EVER in the history of the GN.

There will less Q_hunts in the team than those backing AP.napCrazyWink

I thought similar about GARRISON SAVANNAH - when he ran 2nd in the National -
after winning the Gold Cup in 1991

He went off at 7/1 - Ran off a rating (157) - 4 less than Synchronised (161) -
But carried just 11st 1 lb - compared to Synchronised's 11st 10 lb.

Synchronised with faller insurance for me, if around 5/1 I'll be very happy with that.

has to be respected, over park fences he is well capable of giving the weight to these rivals, it is the Aintree fences that create the question mark. He landed sideways after the last in the Gold Cup and still won going away, a fair effort. I think it is quite a weak National this year, I'm on Cappa Bleu e/w, but I think Synch and Giles Cross are the dangers.

OP, re your user name, are you just keen on biscuits or did you study a bit of EU law? Famous trademarks case if memory serves
