united biscuits have a look at my "synchronised grand national the case for and against) thread on the grand national forum .
By:
neill d - very astute of you, "the legal profession rather appeals to me", and you are free to quote me on any related matter.
No, honestly, the name has its origins with the Fosters Oval, from there to the Allied Dunbar House Of Commons and only a short leap to the Unitedbiscuits Bosnian Peace Corps. Good luck all, get on Synchronised, or give me a better 10/1 shot!! |
By:
Thanks FOYLESWAR.
Well, FOYLESWAR puts the case more articulately than me on the hitherto unconsidered Grand National forum. (kind of like a House Of Lords to this Common Chamber). I won't guarantee he'll win I'll guarantee he'll shorten Good luck all!! |
By:
Good luck anyway united, it wouldn't surprise me if he did it as there is only one factor to overcome........ the fences
He is by far the best horse in the race. If he gets over the first 6 and things settle down, 10's will look v big. |

ROFL...................UB..............FW is normally a decent and considerate judge but his head has been turned at this meeting.
If you trust him on this then you need therapy...................both of you............sorry FW............see bumped thread for reasoning. ![]() ![]() |
By:
i dont even think it will beat the stablemate Sunnyhillboy nevermind the rest of the field. another horse will definitely do him up the run in with that weight.
By:
the horse cant jump hes got no chance
he loses lengths for fun at normal fences so dread to think what will happen in the national |
By:
Plenty of opposition, I guess that's why Synchronised is 10/1 now. Not too many choosing from the other 39, funnily enough. Must go now. But I'll be back on tomorrow - first when it trades at 8.0, then when it wins.
By:
Don't do an mfordy for your own sake.
By:
got no chance
By:
spider if this horse cannot jump how the feck has he won 2 nationals a grade 1 lexus and a gold cup ,
By:
He gets to the other side. Look at Follow The Plan the other day, very untidy but got round. No point getting huffy, we'll know 4.30 tomorrow.
By:
Too late United..............the you want to lay it...........was clocked as backtracking.
You are not clever enough to fool the nightshift.............all in on Synchronised.................that is what you will get tomorrow.........no greening up or bull..........you are in up to your neck.GL though ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Red Rum the very best national horse was one of few in history that ran over 100 races and only fell once!
horses prone too errors have a poor record in the national which is the biggest test for any jumps horse in world, syns odds are a better reflection of it finishing IMO |

Icendently syncs time for the gold cup was nearly ten seconds slower than long runs which was on slower surface, on this basis its odds are not justified in this ultimate test!
By:
Ive never backed a horse with more than 11st in the national in my life but my cahunas will be well and truly out at 8am outside ladbrokes tomorrow morning....THE best chaser in the country so has all his 11st+ rivals beat..giles cross was sticking out like a sore thumb on 10-1 but ground going against him now.
I wasnt going to bother with sychronised as thought id missed the best prices and expecting it to be 9/2 SP but 12/1 is a MAX BET JOB. Famous last words but just has to get round... |
By:
he may not take to the fences but its the same for most of them who havent tried them ,what i see is a gold cup winner trained by probably the best trainer of staying chasers in the country ,ridden by the champion jockey who is still improving , in a handicap trading at 10/1 on here and allegedly 12s at lads tommoz , and for those reasons im in .................deep !
By:
already on at average odds of around 19/1 and will go in again tommoz at lads !

On the plus side Syncs running a hell of a lot better than last year when he came 3rd, 12L down at Uttox a tricky track (Utt 34GS C1HcChL 41K 11-12 3/17 (12L Minella Four Star 9-9) 9/2F) which is 2 furlong less than today but was he running on or fading is the question and the racing post(my source) never shows race comments which is a bit low brow for a major racing data firm, perhaps felllow form pundits know the answer to its stamina!
By:
good old gg.com has the answer to its stamina at this sort of trip, and its not good
![]() 3rd 1 (-) 19 Mar 2011 Good to Soft 4m 1f 110y Class 1 15:00 Uttoxeter A P McCoy (11st 12lb) Jonjo O'Neill 9/2 In touch, lost place 3rd, reminders in rear 10th, modest 9th after 15th, closed 17th, went 2nd 2 out, no impression on winner last, demoted to 3rd flat |

By:
Syncs will fall fact crap jumper lay it

and check out the lower rated horses that beat him when he was favourite that day!

By:
he made 5 niggling mistakes in the gold cup and a.p was pushing for much of the race but he still come through and powered up the hill and won going away , a lot of people have crabbed the form " only beat a rag and long run didnt run his race ect) but long run jumped and travelled the best i have ever seen him in the gold cup and synchronised still beat him cold , not saying he will win but i think he is still being underestimated 12s is fair imo.
By:
at such short odds, top weight and suspect stamina and jumping, could be the lay of the day IMO
By:
Lay the balls out of it lads foyleswar get on kilyglen
By:
bfanatic lay him if you want but if he is still in touch 2 out make sure you have a clean pair of underpants on hand ! feeling youll be needing em .

Question for backers:
Why not wait until they have jumped the first four or five? You will know by then whether the horse has taken to it (Ok. he's won top-class races but his jumping is very worrying for this unique test), and because he will be getting the hurry up and have most of them in front of him, whatever is going on, you'll almost certainly get a bigger price than SP anyway. Personally I don't think he will take to this test but if he does jump those first few fences OK I would not be surprised to see him defy the weight. After all, the further they go, the better he is, which makes his Gold Cup win all the more creditable. By the way, I like Always Right at 50s on here. Not sure he'll stay but travelled like a beast the last day until stopping as if something amiss. Pretty nice weight, breathing op since, seems a good bet to me. |
By:
ha ha , if dessie was running i would back him for sure but we know he would do his right hand
wandering trick at canal turn and end up ouside a sunbed center somewher in liverpool ![]() |

LEFT COURSE GOING WELL...............ON THE BIT SWEEPING around city centre......................came under pressure and a left hand drive.
FW.........drop us off here mate.........Grapes............tired in final drive to the Adelphi. Finished knackered.........went down well when teeth came out........palate operation and tongue tie for next year might improve her FW. ![]() ![]() |
