The market will be chaos today- get your trading boots on.

The fact that SDS is only slightly bigger than Moore was before his fall is the biggest joke of the year!...
Hughes buying money, get on as much as you can. |

We were informed last night that Ryan Moore had broken his wrist in a fall at Warwick, and would most likely be out for weeks as a result. Upon confirmation of the news this morning from Ryan Moore himself - betting.betfair.com/horse-racing/ryan-mo... - we have cancelled all unmatched bets in the market to protect both backers and layers, and re-opened the market. ![]() |

For those who say SDS can't win because he's only got a 14% strike rate, I would suggest they check what his stats are for the past 4 weeks.
![]() He may have started the season slowly and had a horror month but he's a cert to take more rides than Hughes between now and the end of the season I'd also have a little wager his strike rate will be above 14% ![]() |
|
By:
If sds keeps up the strike rate he has achieved in the last month
he will ride upwards of a 150 winners and would have a huge chance, mind you it is a big if. |

Ryan was the only bogey in my book so I'm ok at the moment thanks

By:
Actually SDS is running at 21% for the last 2 months

By:
Nirn doubt if 21% will do it.

Three years in a row Moore gets injured.I can see him on a Claims Direct advert soon-"They gave me the wrong type of saddle".
|
|
By:
SDS can still win..............hughes bound to pick up bans at wolves
|
|
By:
Odd this year, despite these injuries, RM still ahead..........I know it is only a matter of time. RH season is slowing right down winner wise.
|
|
By:
SDS will not ride @ 21% for the rest of the year. That is s fact.
Hughes will win without any shaddow of a doubt. I estimate he will have it wrapped up with a month to run. |
|
By:
SDS had to go to Kempton for 1 ride today. He picked up a couple of joke rides at Lingfield to pay for the fuel. He could have had a full book of rides if he wasnt made to go down south for 1 ride.
Not the profile of a champion elect. Only 1 winner this year.. Hughes, buying money. |
|
By:
Still 1.3!
People greening up? |
|
By:
I knew Moore was going to help Hughes win the title this year but he has gone above what could have been hoped!
Obviously he didnt get injured on purpose but Hughes getting all Moores winning rides and I know Moore asked for Hughes to replce him on anything he thought would win... If anyone listened months ago you will be in a nice winning position... |
|
By:
I am in a very nice winning position...
|

By:
What happened yesterday to warrant RH, dropping from 1.3+ to 1.2 and SDS going out 6 to 8? Expect RH to win, but not sure what
difference yesterday meant. Also, looks like winning total will be very very low. RH taken age to get back in front. |
|
By:
MARILYN, could be that folk have worked it out that Hughes could have
put this thing to bed without having to resort to riding at Wolves, I tend to agree. |
|
By:
Hughes hits the front and I've heard Moore out for at least 2-3 months. Basically he might come back for a couple of weeks at the end of the season..
SDS cant win. he got lucky in the last few weeks but that wont continue. He rides at 16% over the year absolute max. Are bookmakers going to pay out on Hughes or what? Bet 365 going 1/10. |
|
By:
Can anyone tell me if there are any suspensions for anyone at the top of the table coming up? Forgot to check in Racing Post today.
|
|
By:
How can Moore be 20/1? He is 8/1 and 16/1 with the only 2 bookmakers that are offering prices.
He will be off for at least 2 months. This is a medical certainty. Hughes will ride around 25 winners a month. Moore will be at least 50 wins behind with even less motivation than normal to win the title and about 2 weeks to ride over 75 winners. He is virtually a non runner and still 8/1 with VCBET. He should be 1000/1. What a joke. |
|
By:
outoftheframe, Delta reckons about 3 weeks for a broken wrist to heal so
the price about Moores being leading rider with the firms is ridiculously low, however you suggesting that at this late part of the season Hughes will ride 25 winners per month is wildly ott in my view, I will bet all the cash I can lay my hands on that Hughes from this day onwards till the end of the turf flat racing season does not ride 50 winners and by the way neither will any of the jockeys chasing him. The best of luck. |
|
By:
I would be surprised if Moore was back within 3 weeks. Even if it heals quickly he won't take any chances with it, so should be 4-5 weeks. Will be about 20 winners behind and out of it either way.
Think my winners total bets are looking very strong. 135-145 for the jackpot. Hughes will miss 3-4 days for breeders cup, 2-3 days for Arc meeting and will have suspensions... Won't ride many if any Wolver evening meetings. |

Sooty1 backed Richard Hughes at 8/1, and put it up, Delta talks crap.

WILLIAM BUICK, whose superb season has been highlighted by seven Group 1 victories, said yesterday he would give the jockeys' championship a crack should he be within hailing distance of the summit come the campaign climax.
Ryan Moore's injury last week led to bookmakers making Richard Hughes odds-on to win his first title but Buick, also seeking his first, is a not-insurmountable 19 winners adrift. In addition to his exploits for boss John Gosden, Buick has excelled on outside rides this season, notably Ortensia in the Nunthorpe Stakes on Friday and has ridden for 89 trainers in Britain and Ireland this year. |
|
By:
I wish Buick could win it, as he is now my best result along with SDS.
Not going to happen though... |
|
By:
Buick will not win. He has ridden 70 rides less than Hughes despite having a month extra...
Just not going to happen. He doesnt ride enough and wont be busting his gut to ride 2 meetings a day like Hughes will... It's very simple. Hughes will win unless he gets injured, the price reflects that but then I have been saying it since he was 6/1. |
|
By:
No winners for Hughes for 2 days now....
Woof woof |
|
By:
If Hannon is becalmed for any length of time who will provide Hughes
with the 30+ winners he will probably need to be Champion? |
|
By:
8/10 outside rides today and a good chance of 4 winners
agent doing well imo. |
|
By:
Hughes always on at least 1 favorite per meeting, normally 2 or 3 favs. Loads of outside rides. Far more than buick or SDS.
SDS gets a favorites ride once every 3 days and usually gets it wrong. Thats why he's riding at 14% |
|
By:
SDS.....got 4 days of bans coming up
|
|
By:
6 actually.
|
|
By:
oh yes....6
|

All over...

Think it's my mate's greening up lay. He had a lump at 8s and usually lays off at 1.14...
|
