Fallon must be seething after what he said about SDS and the whip - suggesting he could be the most disadvantaged by the new rules - another fantastic ride by SDS on that Goldolphin filly this afternoon.

agree outpost, hughes seemed to pick up a multitude of bans last season whereas the secret of hanagan's success seems to be him avoiding the suspensions, the northern stewards certainly didn't do nim any harm last season, there was an incident in the heat of the title race last year (think it was at redcar) which they turned a blind eye to.

All 3 in the title race have ridden winners for Haggas this season with SDS having had by far the fewest rides, so I wouldn't really read too much into that.
Hanagan - 10 from 28, SDS - 2 from 6 and Fallon 5 from 32.

i believe a lot of people are over estimating sds chances. sds is 4 behind. both he and hanagan dont have stand out rides today, sds will miss sat night at wolverhampton, monday and tuesday and will be back riding on the 2nd. that leaves him just 4 days to overhaul hanagans lead.

I agree, SDS chances are being well and truly over estimated. Only 8 flat racing days left and SDS will miss 2 of them. (Mon/Tues).
Looking at future bookings SDS is going to need about 10 more winners to give him a chance. Its going to be extremely difficult for him if he goes to Aussie land.
I think PH at current odds of about 1/7 are a fair reflection of the outcome.
GL to all

The thing about SDS is that he can get winners in doubles and trebles on a fairly regular basis and has rarely gone too many days without at least one winner.
In the past 14 days their records are:
Hanagan 11 winners from 90 rides and SDS 15 winners from 77 rides.....that difference of 4.
Last season too there was definitely a concerted effort from the north to help Hanagan but with SDS based up north now too then it might not be so one-sided.
