I got a betting system, works extremely well back any horse bred from Choisir/Exceed and Excel in english 5-7f races Laugh I know things are supposed to be upside down there but it seems like you are having trouble understanding the difference between backing and laying. ![]() The winning most horse sired by Choisir is Starspangledbanner, winner of 7 of its 17 races but only 2 of its 5 in England, despite going off either favourite or joint favourite every time. Depending on how you stake then you might have made money on it if you put the same amount on a 13/2 winner as a 2/1 winner but it was also beaten at 4/1JF, 6/4F (by a 100/1 shot) and 11/8F. Unfortunately for Choisir, despite being at stud since 2003/4 he doesn't seem to have sired too many good ones and his stud fee is now down to EUR 12,500 compared to his own sire Danehill Dancer's fee being EUR 75,000, which started out as IRG 4,000 in '98 and was EUR 45,000 in '04 being the same year of Choisir starting at EUR 15,000 before dropping to a low of EUR 6,000 in 2010. Exceed and Excel does a bit better with his most winning progeny being Masamah with 8 wins from 24 and you would have made a profit on that at least to level stakes anyway, his next most winning offspring is Excelebration which had the misfortune to be racing against Frankel but still has 5 wins from 9 starts, but only 3 from 7 in England at prices of 4/6F, 5/6F and 5/4F so a level stakes loss on that and probably to banded staking too. Exceed and Excel's current stud fee and for the past 3 seasons is GBP 12,000 compared to his sire Danehill's fee being by private invitation only after an opening season of IRG 15,000 and a last known high of IRG 75,000 in 2001. This probably as a result of siring/later siring horses like Dylan Thomas, George Washington, Rock of Gibraltar, Duke of Marmalade, Mozart, Westerner, Desert King, Dansili, Oratorio, Holy Roman Emperor, North Light, Ace, Peeping Fawn and so on. I suppose it's possible you might have made a profit on laying both sires' runners here but their progeny lose far more races than they win so I would imagine you would need some fairly big priced wins in amongst them. I think the general misconception on Aussie horses and how they perform outside of Australia is that the media are also probably guilty of doing their own cherry picking too and flag up any successes but conveniently ignore the failures, so it's hardly surprising then if many of the Aussie public do the same by association.......it would be a bit like Ireland's media saying they dominate the Melbourne Cup based on the successes of Vintage Crop and Media Puzzle. |
