Willie Carson would have thrived with the new rules imo. I know that he could dish it out with the best (worst?) of them; but for rhythmic encouragement / persuasion (non-whip), Carson was a master. Maybe instead of whinging today's jockeys should pull out a few videos of Carson in his pomp - it might even give them an edge.

Agree with differentdrum about Lester Piggott but if he was riding now he would only last a day. There is no jockey from the past that would not be banned under these new crazy rules.
