What a b0llocks of a race -no chance for the main fancies -all idling out the back .
It wasn't selling platers making the running ffs.
Ok-maybe the winner might have won anyway but about a third of the field might as well have stayed at home for all the chance they had.

As Jim pointed out, the winner was third in the Italian Derby in Italy.

Vubiant sums it up perfectly. The tactics on some of the leading fancies beggar belief.

Get rid of that silly weight for age and weight for sex. Race is getting  more like a H'cap

as someone who backed Shareta at for a place at 30, my pocket disagrees. And to think it was only 25 with Lads this morning to win.

8 and 11lb from the older horses is ridiculous at this time of the year.

yep those who backed it were robbed, at level weights it would have been a 100 to 1 and still won, Laugh

The wfa scale may be wrong and not good for the "sport" but from a punting perspective you knew about it before the race so no good moaning now.

BUT THE WINNER HAD GOOD FORM YOU CANT RULE OUT A HORSE THAT WON LAST TIME OUT BY 6 LENTGHTS IN ANY GROUP 1

"It was beaten by Testosterone a couple of runs ago."

it was quite obvious the difference between that race and the 2 races after in germany that she was still immature.
also testosterone nicked that race.

the form line with dandino put her ahead of sna and midday and there were no running style variables with dandino in that german race and the coronation cup.
dandino had an easy lead both times.

that had to put her right in the frame for this

what rating would you give her flying. like a poster said in another post if it was a more fashionable horse it would be stellar, after all it was a 5 L arc winner
By:

When: 02 Oct 11 15:11
Dunno,Fid. It's so far ahead of anything else she's done 130 would be generous. There were some ill judged rides, some didn't act on the ground, it's a race I have to take with a pinch of salt.

tell yer what ive hit the bar plenty of times in the last decade or two in this race.

got loads of placed horses and even managed to get a massive priced horse (599/1) (90 on the place) califet come 4th when cruising round the final bend.
hughes and hills have normally ridden my fabcies recently  mubtaker and that channon horse who escapes me who kept coming second.

i was due

How many 16 runner group 1 all aged races run at a true pace do we get throughout the year, very hard to put a rating on this performance imo, as good as it was.

she's obv made a hell of improvement in a few months

G1J

The "Channon horse whose name escapes you" would have come 2nd in a Listed race.

Time of the race was fastest since Peintre Celebre plus the 'pacemaker' had very progressive form until the trial - I'm as shocked as most but it was a very good quality Arc (without superstars). How good will be decided by time.

Any comments which aren't from the pocket....?
