Top weight STAR OF ARAGON has been in sparkling form over hurdles lately with two wins first at Galway and then doing it nicely again at Cheltenham 35 days ago with both times for this claiming jockey.
Looked sure to land the spoils off 65 when hitting the front over 1f out over a near 1m3f 12 months ago for Fran Berry and this 1m4f now down to 63 could see his first flat win with young Landers knocking off another 7lbs.. |

CD winner WHAT ABOUT YOU was not beaten too far in a host of class 2 handicaps this summer after running well and then winning here about this time last year in a class 6 maiden.
Nice pipe opener at Dundalk 22 days ago off 86 and now down to 84 and the plan will be to try to make all along side LE TOREADOR who should run out of puff 1f out seeing my fella pulling clear in front of the roaring stands to see the Wolverhampton favourite backers get off to a flying start and head to the bars for a celebratory pint of Marsdens.. |

Irish raider BLINDSPIN once of the Michael Dods parish jumps on the Seacat and returns to England for the first time since his flat days. He was about to give some half decent types including SCOTSIRISH the shock of their lives at 33/1 until coming to grief when making a challenging move three out in a Cork 21k Grade B in October, 17lbs wrong that day with today's jockey Andrew Lynch 2lbs over weight.
That was the second time in three runs that jumping has let this 6yr old bay gelding down when again in April in a beginners chase he was well clear and travelling like a goodun until clouting the third last sending young 3lb claimer Sammy hassett tumbling to the Cork deck. Now dropped 8lbs for that last mishap and if he can keep his four legs intact he must stand a great chance of getting his first win over the jumps in this lesser grade with all of his five rivals stepping up in class.. |
