Fractional odds are better explained and understood as ratios rather than fractions imo.
Eg 4/5 means "4 to 5" not "4 fifths to one". Easier to understand even though mathematically the same.
The point for Racing For Change is that ratios are also easier to understand than, to continue the example, "0.8 to one".
