Can't stand Bartlett.. sounds like a robot, lacks emotion.. listen to him commentating on Denman win the Hennessy last year, was completely devoid of emotion.

I voted for stephen hawkins to do the call.

I wonder when the Cheltenham Festival will get rid of Cattermole's commentaries?
Like Mcgrath has dined at the callers top trough too long... |
By:
Joe Pasquale is apparently going to do a dry run for the Beeb as they consider him an ideal replacement

I think this could be down to bringing your own booze on-course.

bout time that other looney was silenced too,D T

"just look at him, he's careering away"

I'm not surprised he's been dropped after his appauling commentary at Aintree

.. he has always been below average.... Utter carp. The best around in the mind-to late-90s and early years of the 00s, however dreadful he has become. |
By:
agree with that but this last while has went downhill maybe the age factor.
By:
maybe he just needs special nutriant breakfasts and a short break in the country .
perhaps he can refind his A game . lets hope so and lets hope he is keeping well as it could easily be all sorts of things ..perhaps its just a block ,but if he cant see it its not good. its commentary jim but not as we know it . |

The fact that he doesn't realize he is making the glaring errors that he is nowadays is a worry in itself. Such is the arrogance of the man |

By:
"None so blind as those who cannot see"
By:
AT LEAST HE STILL HAS THE tIMEFORM BUSINESS TO KEEPHIM OCCUPIED
By:
He's probably too arrogant to read this. His commentary on the Souter Point race at Ascot was truly appalling!
By:
Used the word pozzie just once too often...
By:
Ian Bartlett = terrible choice for replacement.

When Jim came over, a breath of fresh air with his commentaries at York, Ascot etc, sadly I now switch off the Beeb when hes commentating
"Giving them a fair start" "Boxed out wide" "Box position" "Great pozzie" Not for me anymore If the Beeb had the Guineas, would they have pundits butting in at half way like they did with the National meeting? love to hear Ray "hes a nice horse" Cochrane 2 furlongs out.. |
