Loved that film, and wondered about the Gosforth scenes for years.

liked the bar scene with the singer..filmed in yates opposite the central station

sweet child filmed in victoria comet opp the station

wasnt that what become yates? ive always thought it was hmmm

when the film was done it was the vc,yates must of followed,wimpey restaurant round the corner

i thought the long bar had something to do with it?

It was definitely a proper race in the film.The winner was a horse called Goodison owned by the Everton captain Brian Labone who was in the 1966 England world cup winning sqad.

They remade this in 2000 with Sylvester Stallon as Carter, terrible film
