Sizing Europe should have too much class for this lot. Will be dissapointed if he cant beat this lot in the absence of Big Zeb. As for Tataniano, not even in the same class as Sizing Europe.

Coral were 7/2 last night for a while, got cut in to 11/4.. then reopened in morning at 7/2 from 08.36 till 08.52. Unlucky fella.

Is this better value than your bet off the century
By:
spirito
When: 20 Apr 10 10:49
you could have got £25 - £50 max - to be honest the diff between 7-2 and1 0-3 its not worth the ware. By the way corals didnt lay the beast@7-2 after 8.45

Twist Magic wins this imo. Would be more confident with Ruby on but the replacement is no mug.

Racingguru - I dont tend to give too much weight to ratings. Yes Tataniano was impressive at Aintree but that was as poor a Grade 1 as i have seen for a while. There was no Sizing Europe, Captain Cee Bee or Zaarito in the field and everyone knows that Osana is a stone better horse around Cheltenham than anywhere else. The fact that Noble Alan was still only a couple of lengths of Tataniano jumping 2 out shows how poor a race this was.

As for next seasons CC. I think if you can get 14`s about Tataniano then you should be in a position to trade off at some point but i think he lacks the class of Sizing Europe and has little chance of beating him, even on good ground.

I can see your reasons for thinking that Tataniano will go off a short price for the CC and i will probably back him at 14`s with a view to trading off at a much shorter price. His main opposition Big Zeb and Sizing Europe will almost certainly be exclusively campaigned in Ireland next season prior to Cheltenham meaning that Tataniano will be able to pick up a few of the trial races without too much trouble. A lot depends on Master Minded as i still think Ruby would stick with him if he is over his problems but i totally agree with your reasoning.

i know its probably mad to say so as he won the arkle but for me he's still got the question mark against him when brought under pressure, somersby was cutting him back all be it not that strongly but it was made to look more desperate as sizing was curling up in front, against stronger opposition today he will be found out ....harsh questioning an arkle winner but i don't like him off the bridle one bit.

don't think ruby will be dropping MM for one moment, what we could assume from this past season is that MM has one monster run in him, run him early season once....then miss the game spirit and go straight to the festival...he's still a young horse, last year they probably felt they needed to see if the injury was sorted out, and in so doing he ran his one big run at newbury....this time, save him for the big day!!!

I take the opposite view and actually think sizing europe is too short, he wont the arkle fair enough, I don't think the Arkle was that great for a start, plus a lot of these other more experienced horses ran in the queen mother.
Twist Magic just didn't trun up in that race for some reason or another but I think he will win today.

Twist magic wins if it shows its form, Fact..but could be a big IF
I think Paddy could take the beating back over 2m, obviously doesnt stay 2..5m
Sizing has to improve again out of novice company & is only 3rd best for me.

Dont forget at the time of chelt de bromheads horses were having a terrible time of it, a few of them getting chinned at odds on etc.. Thats what put me off Sizing europe at the time and made his performance all the more impressive in my mind. Not saying he'l def win today but a cert to place at least i reckon..
