Great hype the other day about John best's 2,000 GNS horse. he is so good he has to have his own private trials and cant race in public. Shades of the old Nevo Best FOR SALE strategy

he makes most of his money out of the pool bets, jackpot, placepot etc. to make money out of those bets, you need a few quid to start with as well because of the losing runs, so im sure hes made plenty. he told me getsa nice wage out those phone calls as well

Think his ex was worth a good few qquid as well

"he seems to utter one excuse after another of why this is not a race to get involved in"
A reasonable approach in a lot of races IMO. |

Says in his book that he doesn't usually bet while working on RUK. If he is a Pro Punter why waste a day on RUK for £500 which he will have to pay tax on when he could surely make much more from a days punting ? Doesn't make financial sense to me, especially as he has been quoted as saying he needs to earn quite a bit due to paying maintenance to an EX.

He is no better or worse than most of us. Granted clean accounts he will win, when the tap is turned off and you have to come on here he cant win and does TV at £250 a day for his wages

I you decide to earn a living from gambling and it's your only form of income to support your family and your lifestyle. You would find your betting would alter dramatically. No more having a bet in every race. Practically every race you bet in you need to get a return. You will be looking at placing bets on a couple of horse in a race as long as you cover all the bases and you turn a profit. Far cry from having a couple of quid EW because you fancy it.

Any of you bozos actually read his book? I don't mean just look at the pictures, but actually read it? He explains his betting processes, which are long and convoluted and often mean large outlays for relatively small returns, and some years his returns have been very low for all the effort.
As an RUK pundit he is obliged to offer up selections in virtually every race - a practice we all want, but one that is a one-way ticket to the poor-house for a pro-punter. He appears not to have had a proper job in years, save for his occasional punditry on RUK, so either he is the world's oldest trustafarian, or else his punting strategy works. The fact that he can't sate the hunger for a winner to bail us out of out losses when betting every race says more about those who complain about him, rather than him. |

Read his 1st book thought it was fair very straight & honest could not get on with any of the Spread firms wonder why

|

no proper job in years..............nice litle earner from the phone lines......daily record...........RFO and his stint on RUK

Nevo and john Best bought and sold a breeders cup winner so that probably keeps Dave in petty cash for a few years.
|
|
By:
who put up nevo's share........well dodgy.
|
|
By:
Ravens Pass, even if Best & nevo have kept a share/nomination each that's £100K a year tax free for next 15 years.
