RUK has the finest pundits. remember all those folks could be pro puntering but they need compensating for loss of earnings. Hence the score a month. Its a no brainer 4 me.

Anyone know how the Life are able to show RUK replays for free, yet the Post charge for them?

I wasn't able to watch Aintree live yesterday as was in meetings, but when I got home I could see every minute of every race gratis, thanks to the Life.

Personally, I'm in work Mon-Fri and when I did have RUK as part of the Setanta package, I'd only watch live RUK racing at weekends, and on weekdays, the replays. For a tenner, inc ESPN and Setanta, that was good value.

£20 a month for the privilege- in my particular case- of watching the non C4 races on a Saturday, and the Sunday races (when more often than not the best racing is in Ireland, and on ATR anyway), is too much. I don't even need the replays any more, thanks to the Life site.

If they were to introduce a weekend package, tailored in my case to the jumps season, but whatever, flat or jumps or both, I'd be interested but not otherwise. A lot of people would come into my category of viewing times and levels, I think.

I think the point most people object to is the delay because when first launched RUK was supposed to be in direct competition to the SIS feed with all the premiere tracks and thats why it was £20 a month. ATR is bascally there to feed the compulsive gambler with pretty much dross racing i.e 0-65 or 0-45 on the sand and who's turn is it today. I don't think its a case of too much racing just too much crap racing to be honest.

Since they got rid of Hughes former agent and Tony Clark's big mate RUK punditry has not improved at all. Surely RUK could get him back on again. Is he still alive tho?

The RUK pundits are all professional experts. Do you really believe that they would pay £150 a day 2 some guesser without checking his credentials FFS;)

some absolute cobblers on here!!

RUK isnt on betfair because presumably they couldnt agree commercial terms - eg betfair wont pay what RUK want because enough people on here dont use it.

The edgeboss link was a pirate link, so it has been nailed in the way pirate links tend to be - it'll reappear somewhere else no doubt.

RUk are fine, as are WH, Lads, ATR and all the other companies that the moaners on here say are about to go bust.....

I wouldn't have the foggiest idea which channels are fta and which are part of my basic package. Nor would I care if they were all switched off tomorrow.

Some might find it hard to believe but the goggle box is total gash. Try reading a few good books or listening to music, the radio. See if you can manage without your tv for a week, a long shot, but give it a go.....

I do not pay ATR, I do not pay RUK & I do not pay for a Television Licence.
I do not watch racing on BBC or Channel 4, since I do not even wish to have Rishi, Thompson & Jasper Parrot in my Home.
I no longer go racing in the UK.

I still enjoy life though.

I like R U K and its presenters, but not enough to justify keeping paying £240 a year for it.
With Sky Digital, you get tickets for some free race days. With Virgin Media, you get nothing.
Still seething at their offer to give newbies 12 months free subscription if Ruby won the Big 3 at Cheltenham, whilst giving regular subscribers zero.
So the moment the last race finishes at Aintree tomorrow night, I am cancelling my subscription.

I am not paying the £20 simply because as Cymro said earlier ...... the people who work during the week do not get value for money. Many years ago a weekend package was available at a reduced. I am sure if that was to be implemented there would be 000's of additional subscibers.

i believe long term ruk are doing harm to british racing, how can people get to like racing if they cannot even watch it.i suspect that most of their viewers are involved in racing in one form or another but where do the viewrs of the future come from if new people do not come to love the game.
