I think your referring to Might Thunder. I'd guess he's there for both, good experience and wouldn't go up a huge amount if he ran well? I wouldnt put anyone off backing the horse in this, stable having a purple patch.

Very similar profile to last years winner,hard crew to get right,shortlist. Mighty was the boy,needs to step up again,just the 7 chase starts,be watching him closely. 40 mph winds on the bbc website,rain all day .... not good. Soft sound about right for the borders national? ..... Are you going ? |

I have a fancy todays trip might not be long enough for Mighty. Tough race in the conditions as you say. We haven't had heavy rain up here, I'd wait for tomorrow to see where things stand. Agreed DDG .... I had him head of market at 5 day stage.
Saying that,RM was booked quite early for the "Chief",all part of the guesswork.Weight did cross my mind,I,m not so sure that was a factor,especially with this "sauna allowance" ....which I still cant be 100% sure I fully understand. Informative,yet tricky looking day ahead. |
