Looks like I may have done the 2 points then, Harry. Shame because there was a lot to like about his comeback run over hurdles. I was thinking it would have put him spot on for this race.

i agree was nice comeback run. have been looking at him myself but the market has been very quiet hence why i asked whether you knew he was a runner because i haven't played yet, i will have to move to plan b

Totally agree, lot of work to be done. I’m no happy with some of mine. I’ve no issues with some of the losers, like the other day, happy with Ginge and Aranhill, but Pilansberg and T Crapper were just afterthoughts, and these are the ones that are no long in piling up. Def need to cut down even more on the Anteposts as well. Ah lads it'll be fine, early days yet in the season and far too many favs winning so nothing to do with anyones individual selections. Run of fav wins happens and fav backers = long term losing.
October and early Nov is always the most volatile anyway. I'd planned to up the stakes from the Open meeting and that's still the plan. I don't see any issue with bets so far and I'm expecting another informative season, aim is to increase both stakes and number of bets this season. I hope to keep roi somewhere in around the 30% region. Was too selective last season. Totally agree on the anteposts Fab. I'm essentially cutting them out unless I read a horse is going to run in a race and I believe the race will cut up / he will be much shorter if declared |

to date baron alco +15 We have Casse Tete in the Waitrose tomorrow at Ascot but he had a setback in October and will need the run. He has taken two or three runs to come to hand in the last two seasons and is a big heavy horse. having said that he is trying to win and we do rate him as a chaser but tomorrow is too soon to have any confidence. |

Stuck him up here on last seasons thread, at warwick,fair to say he took a while to get there. Also backed him at the festival,watched that run back a few times,always playing catch up after missing the kick,that was the run I liked.Still looked green as grass on both his last 2 starts,looking around him and carrying his head slightly awkward,is he a bit of a lad at home ? No doubt he has an engine,and he can jump,took a real hike for that sandown run way back.Can see the attraction back in trip for now,that might be plenty quick enough for him tomorrow also.Depending on his mark later on in the season, I,m guessing he may have a little unfinnished business,there was a lot to like about his run at the Fez,not that many jump that well first time up,tired mistake at 2nd last easily forgiveable. Another decent one on your hands even at this stage,I like him. |
