CoM given far too much to do, was closing best of them at the end tho.

Considering Sax only ran last week he ran a sterling race to be just touched off at the line; the Juddmonte or the Sussex? the former more likely for me, I believe.

Saxon Warrior won at a mile.
Why they went to 12f baffles me.
Back to a mile to see if he is what he was.

“We’ll give him a little bit of time now and we're looking forward to training him for York and then Leopardstown [Qipco Irish Champions Stakes].”

Juddmonte International card and betting

As if to avoid temptation of returning to the fray again before York, Saxon Warrior has been scratched from the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth and Sussex Stakes.

Very surprised Sax has been taken out of The Sussex and King George VI & QE Stakes and being aimed solely at The Juddmonte; 2nd fiddle to Roaring Lion again, I'd think, and possibly Enable if (big if) she turns up.

Foolhardy or exuding confidence from connections?

As none of their 4yo's seem good enough to win Group 1 races over 10-12 furlongs, SW is having to run in nearly all of them.

Very true about Sax. Nevertheless, a very good chance of another Gp 1 win on his CV in The Sussex against Without Parole; his stablemate Gustav Klimt, on form, is very unlikely to exact revenge on Without Parole his conqueror at Royal Ascot - his defeat in France cemented my view.

good race for the f/c although didnt pay much, they must of fancied SW chances after running, so soon after
the irish derby. roaring lion already had the measure of SW imo, if they race again this season, im not so sure that will be the case next time.
