Jet Setting's (JS) victory over Minding has yet to be lauded the same recognition as any other Classic winner despite the 3rd horse home was a distance behind her and Minding; Nemoralia, as hinted by trainer, might wait for another day if the ground is soft; Ballydoyle, a late confirmed runner for the English 1000G because of the softish ground (good to soft), in my opinion is not a certain runner if the likelihood of even softer ground at Ascot next week (light showers at the moment) prevails. If Minding was running she'd be odds-on so why is JS still available at 5/1 or more with the uncertainties concerning the two market leaders? JS is value, in my book unless her victory over Minding was a fluke but I don't think so.
I don't think there was any fluke about it - Minding has never run a bad race in her life, you could set your clock by her - ok, she may not have been brilliantly suited by the conditions but she does in general handle the ground, and she had just run a tremendous 1000G and followed up her Irish race with a v good Oaks, ... so yes JS should be taken v seriously
