Had a good study of this race the other day and decided it was one to avoid! Hard to split Qemah and Nathra on their running in the French Guineas... Ballydoyle has the best form and if over her problems and 100% she will win win imo, but Nemoralia could be anything and thought she she should have won the Breeders Cup race last season. She was also very impressive at York first time up. She would have been my bet but not at that price.
Really tough heat and wouldnt be surprised if 4 or 5 of them won. Good luck with yours. |

I think if the ground is good or better Ballydoyle is the one. However, if it's soft or worse, I'll go with Jet Setting to prove her victory over Minding in the Irish 1000G was no fluke.

Backed Ballydoyle.

Jet setting is for sale in the Goffs on 13th just prior to Royal Ascot; she cost her owners 12k guineas, and the last Classic Oaks winner fetched 6m euros. What will Jet Setting fetch? At least 500k euros? Still many multiples of outlay - what a shrewd purchase!

Ballydoyle will want quick ground.

Jet Setting great value at 5s still imo, she's absolutely a one-trick pony but she's lucked .
|
|
By:
Also, the lucky owners, imo, will be banking an extra 100% profit on the potential sale price because owners who want to buy a winner will get no clearer chance of a ready-made Group 1 winner to run at the Royal festival.
I think Jet Setting is fav material. |

Think the French horsec is the value.

Jet Setting's (JS) victory over Minding has yet to be lauded the same recognition as any other Classic winner despite the 3rd horse home was a distance behind her and Minding; Nemoralia, as hinted by trainer, might wait for another day if the ground is soft; Ballydoyle, a late confirmed runner for the English 1000G because of the softish ground (good to soft), in my opinion is not a certain runner if the likelihood of even softer ground at Ascot next week (light showers at the moment) prevails.
If Minding was running she'd be odds-on so why is JS still available at 5/1 or more with the uncertainties concerning the two market leaders? JS is value, in my book unless her victory over Minding was a fluke but I don't think so. |

Minding used the Irish Guineas as her final piece of work before Epsom, she would not have been fully fit.

Minding might not have been fully wound up for the Irish 1000g nonetheless Jet Setting (JS) enhanced her superiority over Now Or Never by an additional 7l in the race. Also, JS beat Alice Spring by 5.75l prir to the English 1000G, and a price of 5/1 does not do her justice especially on anticipated softish ground at Ascot next friday.
Ballydoyle is an exceptional filly but only on good/firm ground. |

Take a close look at how Jet Setting came down the dip in the English 1000 guineas.Changed legs umpteen times, hated it.Ignore that form and look at the form around it.Shes the one to beat, should be half the odds.I'd like good to softish going for insurance.

ATB has warned if ground is soft Ballydoyle would not run.
|
|
By:
Jet Setting to go off quite short from where he is now IMO come friday
I doubt Ballydoyle will run and Jet Setting was very impressive in the soft against Minding recently |
|
By:
what price jet setting to be wearing quatar colours friday
|
|
By:
I think Jet Setting could be in the ownership of Al Shaqab, Qatar or Godolphin by friday.
If Jet Setting was trained by AOB, Gosden or Stoute she'd be even money in the absence of Ballydoyle, I imagine. |

1,3mio to China Horse Club

I cant have Jet Setting at all so backed Qemah again ew at 7/1.
|
|
By:
£1.3m? What a return for £12k - very well done! I'd have done the same given similar position.
Jet Setting has an outstanding chance in bottomless ground, with or without Ballydoyle, the main danger being Fireglow, I think. |

Ballydoyle has not been declared according to Sporting Life but Nemoralia is.

A respiratory infection had been blamed for the below par performance of Jet Setting in the Coronation Stakes at Ascot. next race could be The Matron in September in Ireland.
