Modus will be ordered to jump slowly . get buried in behind.. bungle a few jumps..not ridden with much motivation and finish mid div.
They will then launch major gamble in County Hurdle  allrates from 20/1 into 7/2 fav on the day

I think they've made the right decision too. Blazer clearly handles winter ground and Modus has shown he loves Cheltenham in March. The other way around may not have worked for either.

Kalkir and Zarib for me just think they have the X factor required for this

The closer we get the less confident I become.

Lots of nice horses in this race, aren't there Scared

I don't think Zarib has Xfactor tbh but off 134 with a 5lb claim he should hit the frame imo.

I think Kalkir has potential Xfactor though and had a saver on him at 25/1

I'm the same HM. Worried about it being so soon after the last race, and then involving a journey over the Irish Sea now.

I assume Open Eagle made the same crossing as Blazer and certainly showed no ill-effects there Happy

Good Luck Headmaster and all others on at the big prices. If Bet.365 issue a profits warning later today we will know why!

Headmaster youre only looking for negatives. With your remark about Open Eagle I'd imagine you even worried the ship might sink. Just relax. A difficult race to win so I'm not going to say start spending the winnings but you have great value and if you could get one like that everyday you'd be in clover.

Smashing Steamship, well done.

Headmaster, not to be with Blazer then, but it was a great shout (no consolation to you I know) and can't remember the last time on here that one persons bet got so much attention, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one shouting him home once ours were out of it. Hope you get another one soon.

I will!  We've done it before and we'll do it again Grin

Have to say the big wobble came when I read this from the Sporting Life's Newbury blog:

11:54
A gentle stroll through the grandstand and it's fairly muted so far today. Dave Nevison says he's gone 'all-in' on Blazer for the big one.
