Well done Slade Power backers, a good winner. Another shocker from Buick, getting to be a habit.

Gregorian should have won - bad draw and bad ride.

Thought the race would split. Gregorian should have been close otherwise.

Slade Power has improved out of sight from last season, a top class 6fg horse that goes well on any ground. There's no knocking the form now

who would of thought to champion sprinter's come along and win both of the premier sprint races two years running.

Beat Due Diligence and Tropics so not great renewals.

you can only beat what is around at the moment, last year LETHAL FORCE had SOCIETY ROCK to contend with and beat him twice eventually
with SLADE POWER in 3rd, so for my money the horse proved itself last year it was more than likely going to be capable, agree the sprinting division doesnt exactly look the strongest this year, owners keep retiring the best ones every other year. do think due diligence will prove to be good horse in time, could be lot more improvement in the future. |

That makes a lot of sense. I was disappointed with Noozoh but he is probably a miler. He was winning over shorter distances in Spain but the opposition probably wasn't up to much. His best form is at a mile and his Guineas form was about right.
