Yes, another big weekend. Quite a few irons in the fire, but AFC is probably the most vital.
Would be nice if I can manage a few more weeks before it all starts to unravel.
Start of the ptp season too.

Had Triolo in three lists, star horse in two. Fifth at the moment. Turns out Rajdhani Express winning Paddy Power would have got me the November £10k. Close but no cigar.

Well done. I see a big syndicate mopped up too. That should mean you get a good run for your money.
My tactics were similar, perming a bunch of star horses for both the PP & Hen GCs, but I only managed placed horses in both.
Oh well.

Don't think Sir Des Champ will run in the Lexus, that fall has to leave him sore and without a run under his belt, he Looked very burley too. Will surely encourage the English Battalions to come over. Would Actually fancy Arvika in the Lexus, he looked to settle there.

Looks a good horse Arvika. SDC was never going to be winning that. Frustrating that Mullins has not wanted or been able to get him out earlier, and fitter and ready for a big pot like that. Was only ever going to be a training run, and now it's backfired on him.

One of my January lists is out performing my main perm and in the early running for the December prize (and isn't burdened by that nag Sprinter Sacre)!

Arvika puts me 2nd overall. Be nice to see it rack up big points as not that many of leaders have it. Long, long way to go of course but being in contention means the 'what-ifs' get even more head battering!

Kempton throw a £20,000 carrot to Sire De Grugy's connections to tempt them to take on Sprinter Sacre so Henderson lets them know that if you stick to your plans and run at the end of January there wont be any opposition. He does this by finally revealing Simonsig is out for the season.

Hoping to get back on track today. Cue card or Silviniaco my best KG result, have Dynaste and AF too. Would like TNO to chip in along with Champ Fever.
Or I'm toast.
Good luck people.

Yeah, TNO & CF detracted somewhat, but they still have big points to grab (hopefully) at Chelts.
I also have a Feb list doing well in the monthly prize, with three Irish runners and Sprinter to come...
All I ask for is a bit of hope.

Felix Yonger ran on Friday @ 2/5 favourite and I thought the jockey gave him too much to do, he finished a fast closing second and has quite probably cost me the £10,000 monthly prize. I am 7th overall in the monthly So near and yet, and Winchole storms through to take up the running

Has anyone got any groups still intact.

Got to adopt a Zen state of mind or madness could easily ensue. List that was 2nd overall has had Arvika Lig, Champ Fever & S Sacre combine for zero points in last few days for example.

I don't know if you have noticed JOCI but you only have Hurricane fly that is scheduled to run this month coupled with Annie. A couple of hundred people have coupled Annie/Oscar A lot of big players going straight to Cheltenham so January runners are going to be scarce, Big Bucks due out

Yep, seldom get a clean run with the top ten horses, but this year it's a bit of a minefield.
The zeros:
No.1 Sprinter Sacre (unwell) No.4 Sir DC (OUT) No.7 At FC (gone wrong?) No.11 Our Conor (still in the hunt) No.17 Simonsig (OUT) No.18 Invictus (RETIRED?) No.19 Big Buck's (on the comeback trail) No.20 Solwhit (OUT) No.22 Flemenstar (OUT)

This competition is no longer all about Cheltenham Ten, not with the introduction of star horses and especially so this year with so many horses out with injury from themost popular selections. Its all about winners where ever they come from..

Yep, very frustrating/deflating - but great if you avoid stepping in the pile of pooh.
So are we for or against subs?
Or should it be pick 12 and let the best ten score?
It's a real bummer to have spunked my cash a long way before Chelts.

Still in contention on the main comp, but limping rather.
January lists were a no show. Hoping my February lists perform better. Going out with a whimper I fear.
Anyone else holding out much hope?

Blo0dy hell JOCI we are all suffering with a few injuries here and there, but you have been decimated, Rubi Ball your last straw. very unlucky season for you mate.

Managed 10th, which is my best by some margin over the years. Gutted when Tidal Bay was brought down, but not sure he would have been able to cope with winner even if he had stood up. Roll on next year.

Yes - about £900. Had 9 lines but still a decent return. It was the one line where I decided to omit both Sprinter & Bobs Worth - so my 'wild' entry proved very lucky

Well done on 10th. That must be very pleasing. The winner did well to score so heavily despite carrying Sprinter. The hurdlers proved very reliable apart from the stayers.
530 odd was my best and somewhere in the 800s. Worst list was down in 27,000 zone.

Just noticed that the flat comp is up on the tote site (I'll leave the honour of starting a new thread to TTF). A rather poor selection of horses at first glance and some confusion over age. Notable omissions such as Adelaide and sure there are many more. Think I'll wait for the jumps to return (only 6 months to go).
