Studied this race since last night and the more I look at it, the more I like Gabriels Lad.

That's almost certainly the kiss of death but have had a big ante-post on it and topped up again today.

Only 13lb between top and bottom in this, not much is it, imo.

Hawkeyethenoo not out of this off 107, been running well in Group 1's most of the season and his rating has dropped from 112. Fallon aboard, ground drying. The last twice Hawkeye has ran in the race it has been Soft & Heavy.

Sorry, 106, he is due to go up 1lb to 107 after his 4th to Gordon Lord Byron last time out.

God, you could fancy quite a few in this event and not get the winner, so ive binned the event, however, in the Silver Cup thought that YEEOW looked on its way back over 7f last time, leading until not far out, this could be right up its street...

Kevin Ryan has won this race two or three times in the last  ten years , he is every bit as shrewd as any Trainer in the country , he targets sprint race with  great skill . Of his runners today  all of which are drawn low , the best suited by conditions may be Lightning Cloud  .  This Horse  looked in  exuberant health  in his last run in a  six furlong listed  Race , he stays seven furlongs  and goes on a soft surface .His  number one draw may not be ideal , it will depend on  the pace of the race on that side , he might  also strike some  as a summer Horse  who had his big  day  earlier in the season  but at the prices on here he has to be of interest given the Trainers  record
