Sizing Europe has been the yard’s flagship horse and he ran another tremendous race at Down Royal last weekend.
Headed close home by Quito De La Roque, he is expected to drop back in trip for the remainder of the season.

The Tingle Creek is probably one of the best national hunt betting races of the season is staged at the fabulous Sandown racecourse in early December and is for the best 2 mile chasers in the World.
The Sandown racecourse is the ideal course to run this great race as it is a great test of speed and jumping as the course really puts both of these attributes to the absolute test. The horse that is successful in the Tingle Creek usually will head the Queen Mother Champion Chase betting odds at the Cheltenham Festival. There have been some great Tingle Creek winners and the horse that will go down beyond all other is Moscow Flyer. The Tingle Creek has been dominated by the Paul Nicholls yard over the past few years with Kauto Star, Twist Magic and Master Minded all winning the race twice each and the Champion Trainer will no doubt have a strong hand once again this season. •2010 - Master Minded •2009 - Twist Magic •2008 - Master Minded* •2007 - Twist Magic •2006 - Kauto Star - (Won the Gold cup in the same season) •2005 - Kauto Star •2004 - Moscow Flyer* •2003 - Moscow Flyer •2002 - Cenkos *Went onto win the Champion Chase in the same season |

Been going to this for the last few years. Seen some tremendous performances, probably Twist Magic's two years ago being the most eye-catching. Also Somersby ran very well that day. I see it's entered in the King George.

Hope Master minded can get back to form. His jumping was sensational last year. Ate up the fences and made a length on the field at each one.

Sizing Europe Finians Rainbow Tataniano Wishful Thinking Ordinarily you would expect SE to win, but he had a bl00dy hard race last time out, paddling at the finish, and he is taking on 3 second season novices who we have not seen the best of .. |

Glad I already have my tickets if those four turn up. Would favour the Nicholls beast, given his record, but there again so will everyone else and it may be a bit short.
Never been a big fan of Finian's Rainbow, so that will probably scoot up! |

No way Tataniano can be a short price against this lot based on what he has achieved. Should be 5/1 or bigger

my guess at 5/1 re Tataniano may be a big actually, he has a rating of 169 and won last time out so progressive. We'll see anyway, I imagine some bookies will try and get SE

Sorry, I meant Nicholls' record, not Tataniano's. (Last 6 Tingle Creeks all have gone to PN, as you probably know).
Have a feeling any Nicholls horse in this would be under-priced. Would definitely want a bit of 5/1 though. |

Has to be a negative for FR given all the other 3 have had a nice pipe opener Yes, that was his seasonal debut. Went off at 4/7 and beat Tidal Bay comfortably (I was there and back TB that day!). Both of Twist Magic's wins were after a "pipe opener" as were both of Kauto Star's and Moscow Flyer's two wins also. Cenkos in 2002 hadn't had a previous run that season, nor had Flagship Uberalles in 2001. I haven't gone back further than that. |

I would have imagined 5/1 to be about the right price for Tataniano, but personally I don't like the horse much and wouldn't be backing him at that. In any case though, is the ground not likely to be too soft for him?

I think Sizing would definitely be favourite, then I'd expect (rightly or wrongly) that Finian's would be ahead of Tataniano and Wishfull Thinking. If it was a four-runner race, I'd go:

Paul Nicholls is likely to rely upon Tataniano to bid to give him a seventh successive victory in the Sportingbet Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown on Saturday week.
The champion trainer has made the Grade One two-mile contest his own thanks to Kauto Star, Twist Magic and Master Minded, who are all dual winners. The Ditcheat handler is now looking to the Andy Stewart-owned Tataniano continuing the sequence. "Tataniano won well at Chepstow on his debut this season and this race has always been the plan for him," said Nicholls. "Ideally we would hope that the ground wouldn't be too soft." The Tingle Creek has so far eluded Philip Hobbs, but the Minehead handler hopes to put the record straight with Wishfull Thinking. The eight-year-old went off as favourite for the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham earlier this month but finished sixth. Hobbs is now keen to drop the horse back down in trip. He said: "Wishfull Thinking is very likely to run in the Tingle Creek and he has come out of the race at Cheltenham fine." |

Tataniano and Wishful Thinking are by far the most interesting runners likely to show up.
Sizing will have the race set up for him, but I can see Tataniano winning this if the ground is good/soft at worst. Wishful could be the new kid on the block though. Cant wait to watch it! |

SE big price and should win this,but kind of hoping he does what Big Zeb did in the race the other year.Greedy person that i am wants a bigger price for Cheltenham.
Finians will be interesting to see how hes improved. Fascinating race with WT as well. Got my tickets and a free one for Mrs Budd - i know how to treat a lady!! Looking forward to it very much. |

Very interesting race. Finians Rainbow the likeliest winner in my opinion although i am frightened of Wishful Thinking who looks like a natural 2m to my eyes.
I can see Sizing Europe and Tataniano getting run off their feet before staying on when the race is over. |

You may laugh Bud but the same thing happened to Big Zeb last year. 2m around Cheltenham is a world away from 2m around Sandown.

Big Zeb did not jump well,any horse that jumps like that will get beat,and that could happen to any horse inc SE,but he wont get beat by being outpaced.

Incredibly unfair I know, as he is unquestionably a smashing horse, but I kind of hope Sizing doesn't win. I'd like to see a changing of the guard this year and would love to see one of the graduates blow the field apart. For some bizarre reason I have always loved Finian's Rainbow, and despite the fact that he has cost me a few quid recently, I'd love to see him cruise home on Saturday.

Sint, if the ground is riding good ish, then I wouldnt risk it.
All three of them like fast ground, so could all run a decent race. I think the risk is too high for the reward. Wouldnt put you off doing it though. 6/1 is too big. |
