![]() sint..any reason u gone montbazon over colour squadron.... also do you if its a gimmie is out of action? |
|
By:
several reasons trev ..
before today CS was 2/2 on Soft, which is what it was at Newbury when he beat Mont. Alan King describes Mont as having loads of speed and Hobbsy thinks when the going is Soft CS cant get away with 2 miles (ideally wants further), so when you compare both scenarios I think CS just stayed on a bit better at Newbury when the going was soft and Mont could not use his speed. It was also Monts first run over hurdles whereas CS had a previous run. Ericht was 18 lengths back in third, so on that form Mont has the beating of the fav Steps to Freedom, even though he was in that Aintree bumper by him. I would not want to back CS again anyway tbh, the way he hanged today was off putting but maybe he just needs to go left-handed, as his wins have been at Chepstow and Newbury so possibly Sandown was against. Anyway, the main reason is the Ground, hopefully quicker in Marhc. NO IDEA if he will even run tbh but at 20/1 will take the risk. Fired off an email to Kingy so will let you know if he replies etc. |

ok mate...
never that fast on the 1st day...anymore though....will have to view that race... think theres a bit more to come from CS...back to LH sit brhind a furious pace...seems a typical game hobbs hurdler |
|
By:
Looks sound reasoning to me Sint. I also have a few quid on.
|
|
By:
Yeah i'd not rule him at all Trev, particularly going back left-handed, but had he not hung he would be 3/3 on Soft, so for me that puts Mont's effort, bearing in mind it was his first hurdle race, into a good light.
I take you point about the first day of the festival usually being artificially watered etc .. Worth watching the Newbury race as CS was quite green there aswell .. King has unfinished business in the Supreme .. MEDERMIT ![]() ![]() ![]() gl Stront We can but try! |

* rule him out.
well done BM,CH,Carvills. |
|
By:
Must stress, he has no entries currently but reading back Kings website he said after his debut they would look to run him in the new year .. so hopefully that is within the next couple of weeks.

often foolish to 2nd guess Mullins but then AP betting would be boring without it.
Have been having a look at Albert Bartlett & come in favour of Boston Bob . I have backed BB for Neptune but the trainer & owners have potential runners in the two races. I think WM will run Boston in AB & MYM in Neptune. This should suit Gigg. Stud who have Sea of Thunder in the longer race ALbert Bartlett Boston Bob 10/1 3 point win Ongestown Lad 20/1 1 point win Sea of Thunder 12/1 1 point win |
