Lads 16/1 for Guineas. FWIW.
By:
20/1 with Sly.
By:
Im having a bash at that.
By:
Impressive but 16/1 isn't exactly great value for a maiden victory, wasn't exactly hammered today and Godolphin's ready first time out. Prefer Native Khan perhaps?
By:
Only a few quid for me Ben. Turn of foot was devastating but yep it's just a maiden so tentative.
Dettori was just interviewed briefly and says the horse has a big reputation but he's not ridden it before. |
By:
It was backed this morning Ben.
By:
Not massively, been following the race all day
By:
Yes not massively. Just remember Enzo saying on GetOn there was money for it.
By:
Favourable comparison with the second division I see. Doubts are the stable's recent record with horses from 2 to 3 and the fact that it's too short, that's all I can really come up with. Was a good turn of foot.
By:
..too short based on what the other's around it have done
By:
I completley agree.
One of those I feel compelled to back Turn of foot was stunning. |
By:
Do you think the horse is bred to go further than a mile at 3yo? The Dam is out of Galileo.
By:
Good luck, if you're book building have to get him on side I reckon as will probably go on next time and be even shorter, wether he goes on all the way to May is another thing though. Just never seems that easy/obvious

25/1 available with Korral & Billies. Had a win bet with them.

By:
Not sure Mich.
By:
has the right pedigree for a guineas winner and no doubt that he'll stay a mile
reminded me of zafonic ![]() |
By:
For sure he did it well there gents but surely 16/1 is a bit tight (I understand you can get bigger in places). But a maiden win is a maiden win and considering you can get a group 2 winner - Strong Suit at 12/1 and a group one winner - Zoffany at 10/1.... I wouldn't be in any rush to steam in at 16s.
By:
The horse does not hold a Dewhurst entry either - dont know if this is significant ?
By:
You dont have to steam in at 16's. And why would you, tbf?
Trainer stated after the race he will now be aimed at a Group race. |
By:
"The horse does not hold a Dewhurst entry either - dont know if this is significant ?"
I doubt the supplementary fee would be significant to the Maktoums, so would suggest is he's considered good enough then he will be entered nearer the time. |
By:
Taking 20/1 on a juvenile by this operation is stone cold madness
By:
^sorry to say couldn't agree more, just wish nowdays they would leave the juveniles in england to winter.
By:
mind u i think to be fair this is the first time for a while they've had a genuine contender.
By:
I wouldn't even back it at 16/1 to turn up next season and i haven't saw the race yet
By:
MP the same was said about Al Zir on here although he was slightly less impressive. HE did still run well subsequently at 2 so may be able to follow this horse this year at least..
On the Dewhurst line, Godolphin don't have a single horse in there, can't believe they don't have any two year olds who may be worth an entry. |
By:
al zir is gash though [;)]
By:
Wasn't at the time according to some on here
![]() But you're right, ha |
By:
Only back from a few days holidays so Im raging I missed this. One of Godolphins best two year olds. Surprised to read it wasnt backed imo I say the support for Meehans is what helped to the amazing SP of 11/4 . Without going into much friend is in that yard and he has raved about this fella everytime he comes home.

By:
Entered for a listed race over 7f next week at Goodwood.
Looking further ahead, he has entry in the Beresford stakes towards the end of this month. |
By:
Entered up at Doncaster this week in a conditions race.

Indeed.
I would hope it is Good or better ground come Saturday, could be a worry otherwise. Up,up and away!! |
By:
Can easily see this beast being the first leg in a Godolphin treble on Saturday. Champagne Stakes (Saamidd), St Leger (Rewilding) & Park Stakes (Shakespearean).
Hope all 3 turn up. |
By:
Wonder if he'll run against Frankel on Friday or wait until Saturday?
By:
He is related to gossamer on the dams side the ground turning soft should not be a negative, although the ground was offically good/firm on debut the going description was misleading as the jockeys who rode in the race were quoted as describing the ground between good and soft!
By:
Cut for the 2000G by Bet Bald & Sid James today
By:
Going is now Good to Soft. They are expecting bits and pieces of rain on Thurs/Friday aswell.
With Soft in the going description, i'd be happy if he made the frame. It's only his second run and you wouldn't want him knocked about. |
By:
if he were to only to place on saturday he wouldnt be one i'd want to have too high on my ante post shortlist for next years classics soft ground or not!
By:
Al Zir, early doors you could see he was a moderate middle distance type ... Never got the hype on here.
