Not rocket science I know but I make it between Total Gallery, Borderlescott, Equiano and Kingsgate Native.
Total Gallery has a big penalty, Borderlescott gets beaten a lot but has a major chance, Equiano has a new lease on life but I haven't backed it this year so won't start now and Kingsgate Native is being readied for Ascot with Stoute's horses not exactly buzzing. My bet is Kingsgate Native and if he gets beat I can go on a recovery mission at Ascot and Borderlescott who should beat Equiano this time. |
By:
Continued as submitted too soon.
And I wouldn't dismiss Total Gallery out of hand with his penalty. He is Group 1 material and if the price is right, with him only having an easy behind Equiano last time, I may well make him my banker with savers on the other two. It's all about price. |

By:
TG ran a smasher lto imo before blowing up. How much will he be conceding all round ? Twas 9lb in the palace house
By:
8lb lto.
By:
Will be conceding 7lb this time, thought it might be 5lb.
By:
Surely TG will be better of at Ascot where he will be of level weights!?
Not saying he won't be trying, but this has got to be more of a final sharpener than a target? |

Spin Cycle - Place certainty
By:
yeah agree das, he looks up against imo but he is an up and coming horse, relatively speaking.
By:
Equiano looks sniff material
By:
have to save on Kingsgate Native though...
By:
Equiano snaffles up, I'm with FFT. Borderlescott doesn't get going until August, the rest are outpaced

By:
Am I missing something? Equiano beat half of these last time and still had something up his sleeve and yet he's trading at 9/2 when he was 5/1 last time. Surely the price should be about 2/1?
By:
walk on bye.
thanks. bye. |
By:
wherever it next runs i mean.
By:
wouldnt like KGN fto
equiano looks a banker imo, TA might have a squeak too |
By:
Equiano definite intended runner?
price looks massive to me |
By:
gunny whats your opinion of buena vista (re the arc)
By:
won last time out over a mile (although I haven't actually watched it)
close form with Dar Re Mi (maybe a bit unlucky not to beat her?) would suggest she's right up there amongst the top older horses. would want to avoid meeting a monster 3 year old like last season though. is she coming over for it then trev? |

i dont really know...but was on here @ 160s tother day..

Equiano last time out beat
Borderlescott Blue Jack Total Gallery Spin Cycle seems rejuvinated this season with 2 wins under his belt. Think he is the one to beat... 9/2 crazy price... @ korals |
By:
Yeah, 9/2 is huge for Equiano...
By:
Shown as 9/2 on Oddschecker, now 4/1 on Korals website
By:
Far too trappy for me this race. Benbaun ran a cracker last week, Borderlescott and Total Gallery should improve for their last run, the latter definitely will and the former only needs to find a length with Equiano (has to be respected setting this season's standard) and then you have Kingsgate Native who on his day is the best horse in the race. Only one I don't like is Blue Jack, so there's your winner ;)
By:
I think Borderlescott seems to win races in July although trainer said he has come along a lot more forward this year. Touched off by a neck last year though.
Kingsgate always need the run... I think he is the best horse in the race, but his aim will be either the King Stand or Golden Jubilee, so will avoid him now Total Gallery - although GRp1 performer has 4lb extra to carry, but expect him to improve from his last run Of the others Look Busy is interesting won the race last year same weight allowance.. giving 10lb to Total Gallery must be a solid ew with the allowance. Wi Dud was 33/1 last year head behind Borderlescott can suprise The one I like though as before EQUIANO solid. |

What about the ground for Equiano lads?? Good to Firm it most definitely aint!!!
![]() |
By:
probably be heavy going by saturday judging by watering policy.
By:
Exactly mm! If he doesnt water between now and Saturday then it should quicken and get a bit closer to the advertised good to firm.
By:
Wi Dud would be a bet for me if Spencer was back on. Might still have a little each way if I can get 33/40 on the day. Capable of running a big race on his day and impressed me first time out this season. Nice bit of overwatered ground will suit him as well. Hope Holland doesn't try and make all though, needs to be held up.
Guarenteed strong pace here and Benbaun being in the line up could make it hard for Equiano to dictate, they could well ruin each others chances and set it up for something else. Kingsgate Native generally needs his first run and Reverance isn't good enough (anymore). Look Busy probably isn't good enough either, on decent ground, and could be outpaced, will be staying on but likely to find a couple too good. Spin Cycle was put in his place by some of this lot last time and should be again. Blue Jack seems much better for Tom Dascombe but the price is a bit tight on what he's actually achieved. Borderlesscott will be there as always but will probably find one too good on the day. Total Gallery the best horse in the race and wasn't given a great ride by Murtagh lto imo, travelled best that day though and maybe needed the run. This won't be his main target this season and still has the penalty but the most interesting of the horses towards the front of the market for me. Not sure if I'll have a bet but if I do it will bet TG or Wi Dud. GL |
By:
Funny you should say the Benjy, the comment that Look Busy got from last years race was Outpaced, headway over 1f out, ridden to lead close home. She also came from stall 1 (same draw this year)and crossed the track to the other side to get a run. I think she has another fantastic chance at a good price.

By:
Its bin rumoured, though not in the popular media, that Equiano has had the wind op.Hence the improved form. Anybody heard anything? |
By:
Anyone aware of Mordin's wind-op theory btw?
By:
To me Borderlescott at 5's was value will take all the beating, can put this to bed by 1 length.
By:
Total Gallery went like a dream for 4 1/2f lto
b4 blowin up7/1 rates a decent e/w bet here imo |
By:
LB has a stone swing for a lt on their newbury form back end last season BJG
i think the filly has a right chance |
By:
Wind op eh?
Good for a couple of runs then wears off or good for a couple of runs then need a good rest between races. Something like that isn't it? |
