Outrageous. Whilst I believe the bets were struck and landed .. it is still no on imo.

JUDGE JUDY 17 Aug 08:17
Why have a bet and 5 minutes into the match think you are going to lose?

Be confident

Just because the team you layed are dominent for the first few minutes DOES NOT mean they are going to win

I was with a fmaous forumite last night and there was non stop whinging

He eventually won all bets

STOP BLEATING PLEASE

jj

god knows why she went off so short on ground tht was never going to suit. Plus the winner never should have been 5/1+ with tht good form from last yr should have been a 3/1 shot or shorter. lumped on the place on the winner but didnt have a penny on in the win marke

Thanks for letting us know ;)

I've just had a read thorugh the Nunthorpe thread .. and thought this was quite spectacular.

A backhanded piece of Aftertiming. Top marks to Cryoftruth.

I think Kingsgate Native is a clue to this year's race.

The allowance for 2yo's in the nunthorpe has been far too high for years. What this means is that a fast group race 2yo performer simply has a far better chance than its form might indicate.

Those of us who got rich on Kingsgate Native at 50/1 were no doubt hoping for a similar price on Radiohead. However he, unlike Kingsgate Native is not a maiden, but has won his group race - and won a shade comfortably, despite being virtually knocked down when beginning his run.
I think he should be around a 5/1 shot. He is double that.

check out the "bell can't bat, broad can't bowl" thread on cricket.

Does that qualify as aftertiming, or does it have to be financial gain?

Is chester a similar kind of track to york ? no chalk and cheese. chester flatters poor horses they seem speedy because of the nature of the track. it had very poor speeds in its york race compared to almost every other runner and thus it proved. i thought it a 5 star lay and it was. you should back a horse at york thats proven that it acts well on a galloping track.

Early on this season I was told that two horses would be very interesting

1. Harbinger

2. Walk On Water

These two have paid my wages for the season. So they owe me nothing. I confess I hammered Harbinger and it hurt. I also hammered Walk On Water at Chester today. I could not believe the price against very much inferior animals. This horse looked very good but the opposition was poor. Yet I believe today was a training exercise. Nothing of it`s sex or age can live with it on the gallops, fact.

Facts - it's difficult to answer.

I'm not a level steaks punter as so many on this thread have claimed is the road to riches. So each stake is tailored for each horse/race.

For example Thursday night I looked at the racing and fancied Pavalicini - originally it was a 8 horse race - so was going to have a maximum bet each way on it - IE - 5pts each way. When it went down to a 7 horse race, thus the value in betting each way had gone, I had 7pts to win.

It's different each time.
