Droopys Sydney has SIX in the semi finals of the Derby. Never been heard of in my lifetime and is quite astonishing.
Mathematically he could have all six finalists too, with three in each semi. |

That's an amazing achievement, absolutely stunning when you think about it.
In other news, Ian Fortune has said that's he's booked up to come over for Derby final night to do the commentary. If I were the Towcester caller, mad dog or whatever his name is, I'd be properly hacked off that he's good enough for the heats and onwards but not deemed worthy of the big night. I know I'm old school but I find that rather distasteful personally. |

Been a decent sized layer of Rex on here this morning at 5/2 (3.5) this am, been filled in now but at one point it was 96.4% to lay the lot.

Here we go again. This happened not too long ago at this stage. Devalues the competition in my view when they don;t advance the fastest loser from the Quarters to fill the race. There should be a system in place to deal with this occurring. But there is no will to change the rules to allow it.

Hot favourite get knocked out in the quarters and say is fastest non qualifier 100-1 no hoper which qualified suddenly goes lame or has the cough a couple of days before semis And the ante post favourite fastest non qualifier is back in the derby as a reserve If you don’t finish in the first three then you out 100 per cent and no dogs let back in |
