LH, its not so much the going bias, its the complete lack of any consistent form shown by any dogs these days. Now that is either down to one of three things..
1) Trainers these days are just bang average
2) Manipulation of those contracted trainers by their bosses to ensure its like bingo
3) Said trainers/connections fed up with running for poor money and deciding laying/punting is a more secure way of them making money.
You can study all the videos in the world, look at all the various formlines, but if connections are not trying, they are just not trying

Full agreement here.  It has always been thus.  So look to the better quality stuff and ignore the graded.

Towcester will contact the trainers involved on Tuesday to discuss what should happen next. The competition has unfortunately seen a series of mishaps that included winter weather and mechanical issues. Monday was sheer bad luck.
£10K final and they can't have two people ( preferably ) on each bend to try and have at least a chance of stopping such a fiasco.  Just for one race of a night.  A big feature race!

or maybe said people on the bends didnt try too hard to allow the race to continue..

Me neither Sparrow, those in their ivory towers ruling the industry seem to be hell bent on self destruction. It's absolutely stupefying.

How much do you think they GBGB would want to give up their position and allow another body to come in and run the sport?
By:
LoyalHoncho
When: 03 Jan 23 19:53
And who would that body be?  This was a track/promoter shortcoming - nothing to do with the GbGb.

LH.. a group of owners would surely do a much better job. Proper businessman who have actually been successful in their lives. Christ im sure between the decent billy bunters on here there would be enough money about to get rid of the GBGB...
By:

And who do you recommend and why would they give their scarce time to running GbGb when the average owner just wants a bet on his dog when it goes in and the above average owner probably runs his own business and has no time for sideshows or diversions.

When: 04 Jan 23 10:46
LH.. you are missing the point, its not about running the GBGB, its about replacing them completely. A complete new start, under new persons who actually know about the sport. Regarding your thoughts on the time it would involve away from businesses, have you seen how much time the GBGB spend on the sport each week.. at a guess i would estimate an hour max!

farcical hare driving in the 4:28 Rommers today.. have a look at the replay. Look at how they have bunched up on the run in and a dog that checked and hit the rails gets involved in the finish Laugh

Yes - you're right.

Nothing at all to do with the 2 leaning in on the 1 at the 3rd bend and both stumbling and the actual winner recording its best ever time because the hare was slowed.   lmao.

I don't worry about anything.  You're a comic.  At least you would be if you weren't a Calimero.
