Coolvanny Calvin seems the most likely hound to shake up the jolly. Value alert.

Lautaro was 13/8 earlier. I must admit I was sorely tempted to take it and have my first bet on the competition but I resisted .

People know the gaff is awful and can’t produce fair top quality racing

It’s a joke derby, ran at a joke venue. Good luck to those trying to promote the sport based on this farce!

The sport is being killed by those who make their living from the sport. Who wants to hear trainers knocking the track when competition under-way? This should be done before any Derby, the self harm is incredible, two of the most optimistic TV commentators reading out complaints about the surface and track, what is the point lads?
The problem is that no other track wants the Derby, why is that? Well it is because they are under pressure to limit injuries which is hard enough on a bags graded card
When the grader at least able to grade seed, the Towcester Derby will never attract wide runners it is proven from this event, such a sad state of affairs I see no future for the sport if this self harm continues.

The reason I love this sport is for those moments when we get a hound like Ballinabola Ed  striding out, just look at Fridays heat,  it was like watching Arazi, such a weird and wonderful show of early pace, now who amongst us would like to see him do that again? Love

The Derby should be the Pinnacle of our Sport Metro .

Yes Casemoney, the sport needs cleaning up, if a hound is found to have cocaine in blood the trainer should be banned for life'

This is not horse racing where the press and more importantly those who police the sport seem fearfull to ban and name the dopers, baffet, chemical nicky, jab em mohammed and the crew, you see its not just greyhound racing.

Have seen many things that were wrong over the years, wrong time given etc in the eighties I remember one race being over 40 spots wrong I used to use a stopwatch back then me and old Bill both came up with the same final time about a 10th between us, the hound franked what we had seen we won a few quid neither of us big punters. people typing mistakes etc, it is just so corrupt.

I dont think RPGTV bothered to mention the wrong result farce, nothing to see here and move along etc.

How on earth can you get five rail runners of similar high class around a track without injuries? it cannot be done.
By:
metro john
When: 03 Jun 22 19:26
I would not send a top-class hound around Towcester it is at a disadvantage through lack of wide and middle seeds.

Have to agree, dump, going Jubilee do from 300 so won’t watch and doubt watch replays, no love for the comp there and that’s a pity

What is the reason Monmore is not considered for the Derby. Very fair track, wides have a chance and its location is better than Towcester
By:

When: 03 Jun 22 19:45
No track wants the injuries
By:

When: 03 Jun 22 19:47
I agree -  now wheres that switch, it would be the ideal place, but they do not want it.
By:

When: 03 Jun 22 19:51
I remember Rising Brandy probably the fastest you could wish to see over the first two bends, loved Monmore hated Towcester never performed to the same level but won his heats got injured in semi final they still ran him. mega lay for me.

Lauturo was great a couple of weeks ago one of the best performances I  have ever seen but flew the box and ran the perfect line, will struggle to repeat that but class.

So Lautara's racetrack performances rank with the likes of Westmead Hawk, Some Picture, Rapid Ranger, etc;?
A bit exaggerated in my view.
