Heard on grapevine today irish derby could be in trouble. U couldn,t get a bigger lover of the dogs than john boyle. After the recent t.v. programme an continuing bad publicity they may walk away i,ve heard. If thats the case and government withdraw funding u may c tracks close pretty quickly. If that happens england will be under the cosh also.

Ballyane Sim injured a wrist last night and is out of the Irish Derby. They'll try and get him back for The Laurels, but if that's not possible he will be retired. Think that's all last year's Derby winners injured and possibly retired now.

Nottingham’s Nathan Corden explained that not included as nominations were last year’s winner Brinkleys Poet, as he is Sussex Cup bound. “Donation isn’t quite right, nor Nigel Saunders’ Blue Trooper [Puppy Classic winner], the race has come too soon soon for him but he’s on is way back,” he said. “Skywalker Logan is to be aimed at Monmore’s Stayers Classic.”

Just spent last hour n a half looking at h.q. saturday night. I thought i was lucky being born in edinburgh with a magnificent track powderhall. The racing at h.q. saturday. Standards on a different level. Some magnificent hounds on show. I know a lad from scotland travels back n forward evry wknd the racings so good. Has done for many years. So looking forward to this years derby. Some of the older dogs this will be there swan song. Pups in my opinion will hold centre stage this year. My selection tasted defeat for first time last week. He didn,t jack it in tho. Galloped resolutely all the way to line. Back on track again this week with another fantastic display.

Arminta and Wolfe clash in the Champion Stakes at HQ tonight
Got the pair for the "big one" and after scorching round in 29.12, in particular 50/1 Arminta looking a good price now ![]() |

The most interesting race of the night for me wedge. He has a lot to contend with. All age company. New kennel, new regime, new food, new people around him. If he can break i would be happy. 4 goes left so big hole for him to run into. It would be great to c him win but no disaster imo if he gets beat.
|
|
By:
Lenson bocko wins 29.47 highly satisfactory i would say face value. C wot p.f. thinks. Arminta 29.37.
