Just one major bet in the supporting competitions, 16/1 Coney McKenna (ew, 1/4 odds first 4) in the Sprint. Although never raced away from Sheffield before, got him half that price and vying for favouritism. This fella as fast as lightning Farloe Barracuda, who would have won the Scurry one year but for breaking down. McKenna would have made it four wins on the spin last time but ran a bit wide into the home straight. He's got the draw to work from tonight, just to qualify and sure would come on for the sighter in the final
Token bets elsewhere, 9/4 Sober Call (with Razldazl Raidio terribly short odds-on outright), 7/1 Aayamza Breeze and 8/1 Rubys Rascal(not forgiven Cloran Paddy his run in the Leger - Stayers) and 6/1 Thinkingofdarcy (coppers in British Bred) |

winja .... the only bookie in these parts who can accomodate that sort of outlay is more than likely john mulholland, if not it would have got back to him from a local independent and from him to the big uk bookies , 50/1 was a poor price at the time i recall but it looks good now
