I know. Only a little interest through the card, Fatty. Had 8/9 once and there's up to an 100% bonus

now youre taking the pee woody with that post...lol
Started my derby party a bit late this year and am a bit sick as jaytee jets wide tag is worth so much this year its sick....didnt pay any attention until he was 25s though so got what I could of that and had a top up at 16s, felt almost dirty betting a dog that short at this stage but the lack of decent wides was impossible to escape from. Also bet diego flight at the 100s....was a bit tentative at first with the proximity of the regency but when he didnt appear there that was flashing green lights...I think there was a few others of the same thinking on Monday... |
|
By:
yeah saw diego flight was smashed up the other day and couldnt put anyone off that.
i'm exactly your way of thinking with jet other than ive just left it pat but yeah if i had have had a bet the last 6 weeks it should have been jet during but before he won the easter cup. but i just hate betting antepost as a rule tbh its not often i do.... |

Will be keen to see how Domino and Brogan do for antepost purposes
Not sure Mossjoe quite 100% just yet, so 3/1 Droopys Awesome decent enough for a dog with such pace 7/4 Coolavanny Pat over Roswell Iceman for my money. Good race in store In the finale, I know from Sheffield Bockos Beauty can nip out sharpish so could hinder Ballymac Shirley, giving 5/2 Ballymac Darragh a chance to come through Apart from the main races, can only see Sportsbook priced up. Like this Rio San Marino dog but looking for better than 11/10 and fancy 2/1 Clondoty Alex to hang on ahead of Blackstone Marco Couple at larger odds, 7/1 Hovex Prince, each-way, could be interesting and 6/1 Illseeyouagain might be okay Just a mention for Toolatetosell. Cant back him currently but top drawer when fully tuned. Monitor Good luck! |

Thought diego flight had gained a fifth leg this week. Thanks to those that took me odds elsewhere. Thought he was made to look ordinary at shawfield. Same thing happened last year, was abit of a plunge arond the time of his then non-regency entry.
If any bitch makes the final...il be having some worrying times. Twilight, domino, shirly, honey, queen asia would leave me on deaths door. Was slightly disappointed, to hear HK suggest she wasn't quite firing at 100% yet Falcon, despite that first quick-ish sprint. bit below par yesterday but have no room to lay anymore. lol. Great question asked by Julie-c tho, on her best prospect... now have Hiya Butt listed. Is the owner welsh? i hear hiya butty all the time? ![]() Did ask betfair to add a few dogs here as there's a few dogs already up that i wanna bailout on...but they wouldn't put any up...lol. Asked the other place...i now have 350+ listed. (Think i might have the winner up already Irish?? haha) tho have also just asked to remove 50 dogs, injured, retired, possibly not going. #DerbyFever #DerbyGlory. ![]() and great news we might get 2017 derby too. Start the thread. |

very deflated by the lack of certain irish entries. Thought it was shaping up nicely and expecting a huge army but then
doubts over the razldazl's started... duke looked great in his first few races but then the second announcement wont be leaving sp. rest of the team looked ok but injuries took their toll. doubts over hollands... could have brought possibly 10 that would have done themselves justice and a few near to leading the market tho a few im thinking will still be turning up with diff names. + poor vega. doubts over a few of buckley's... thought he would bring 10... im guessing half now. then no dunne +fred, reilly had 2 i thought might come but someone was smashing those lays in when all the tr were being set. mckeena 4-5 and black 1??? i feel possibly leaving their best hope behind. Good on Team Hennessy 4-5 and Team Cronin 8ish?, hope they both go ok, aswell as the others coming over. Anyone want to price up the english / irish winner market again this year? 5/2 last year ireland pre off...evens to lay on here as the final started. Was thinking at one point there might be a record 50 irish but not sure 35 will come now. Still one or two id like to know if they were coming or not. |

I agree PF, with the exception of maybe a handful at best of UK based dogs the overall standard of dog running in England over the last couple of years has been poor imo.

I am slightly worried as every man and his dog seems to fancy him but Jaytee Jet should be single figures for this Derby for me.
Ok round 1 is still a worry if we end up with only 2 qualifying and he draws a heat of death but go through the comp and pick out the wide seeded runners, there is some huge lack of top class (w)s in the comp. Added to that the crazy (in my opinion of course) way they do the draw with this equal distribution of seeds it is quite possible he could end up getting 6 every night. Last year as a young very inexperienced dog he went to the quarter finals, this year he looks the complete article on what he shown in the Easter Cup, he is going up better is excellent down the back and stays the 480m strongly. It's still a Derby and anything can happen but i will be disappointed if he is not lining up in the big race come June 4th. |
|
By:
Didnt he used to fluff his lines at Wimbledon. Hope that's a thing of the past now more experienced. Would settle for him at 66/1 right now! So glad went to Stan James shop to snaffle the price day after Easter Cup victory, when all the rest going only going 33/1

Agree with PF. Apart from about the top dozen, the rest hardly superstar quality. Best hopes for me Roddick, Jaytee Jet, Eden, Panda and Brogan. Would be very happy with any of those, but biggest payout Domino

Still excited, though. It is the Derby, after all!

Was there any Derby trial stakes
Away from Wimbledon this year ???? |

Mossjoe lost action a bit
PMSL LaughLaughLaughLaugh Was talking to someone about that Race today , couldn't get my head rd why mossjoe move off big time got told two words SHORT HARE |
|
By:
Good point, Fatty. All those free chances of entry lost
|
|
By:
Part of the Derby build up wasn't it
Few trial stakes fee entire all that over country But than again we've had plenty of them where it matters ! There big trial session Tuesday morning than ? |
|
By:
Where it matters yes, but a long way to travel not for the Derby itself. Right way to do it giving a dog a look but don't think they should have scrapped the trial stakes elsewhere
|
|
By:
Instead of pumping your mickeys why don't ye lads do a bit of research and look at the last ten winners of the derby ? Only two of them took part in these derby trial stakes , Salad Dodger was the last .
How the feck is that the right way to do it ? ![]() |

Mossjoe lost action a bit
PMSL LaughLaughLaughLaugh Was talking to someone about that Race today , couldn't get my head rd why mossjoe move off big time got told two words SHORT HARE The trials I went to last Weds the hare driving is worse than last year. The hare is so short off the second bend I will try and get a vid/pic tomorrow |
|
By:
can somebody please explain to me when entries close at noon tomorrow when they have another trial session Wednesday and no doubt trial stakes on Thursday night, why can't they close Friday noon or even Saturday noon seen as the draw is not until Sunday??
|
|
By:
*why entries close*
|
|
By:
literally no idea PF, its always been Weds, last session of trials and the entries close with no further trial stakes, I know its an earlier Derby this year but everyone has known that for 11 months.
Will be quite a few withdrawals I expect. |
|
By:
Brains trust at hq
Have the trials than trainers can make up there mind Entries in Tuesday doesn't make sense !! That's why I put out here I knew the entries where Tuesday but there allways Big Wednesday trial session !! Cheers for the info hang |

Fairly sure you get your money back up until the draw of the first round, maybe even up until the first round runs so I can see a few fancying their £250 back...

you get your money back if you withdraw before the draw on Sunday. If your name goes in the hat then you don't get your money back even if you don't make the first round - we had it happen to us about 5 year ago when we entered a bitch and she then broke in season 4 days before the first round but 3 days after the draw - no refund.
