Sure there was a thread, but cant seem to find it. Anyway, just to say, hope we don't have the fiasco of the Derby meeting with no prices until midday on the day. Sp instead of earlies cost me a small fortune Plain

I see some English trained entered already, Swift Keith being one for a middle distance race. Now nothing against this dog or connections (he has been a really good dog) but what on earth has this dog achieved this year to get a place in either the 525 or 550 over an Irish runner? Semi finalist of the All England Cup (got through 1 round) and semi finalist in the Yarmouth Derby (got through 2 rounds) is pretty much the highlight of his year but no doubt he will get a place ahead of an Irish runner and he won't be the only one.

I am sure my views will go down like a lead balloon with most from over there but I do know some owners (from the UK) who actually share my opinion.

I'd say swift Keith been wearing a pair of lead boots most of year ! Only race I saw him take part in was Derby final ! Crazy

Mesi, you could well be right. Personally I can't think of one dog that is fit and running in the UK at the moment that would get in any of the Night of Stars races on merit and stand a chanceSad

Howabout Eden The Kid and Swift Hoffman, Kerrching?

Neither of them are turning up, pity I would have loved to see Swift Hoffman utterly stuffed and put in his place

Woody, Swift Hoffman on the evidence of his last run he obviously has an injury of some kind. Although I did think if ever a dog running in the UK should of took his place in the Irish derby it was him.

Eden The Kid in my opinion would find it hard work to compete against the top Irish dogs in Ireland.

Think Shelbourne has been running very fast for a long time and some of the times clocked flattering. Sure Eden would more than hold his own over there, as for the Hoff, good as anything when fully firing

Think Comerford heats have been on past years but not so this? Think I read draw for the meeting takes place Monday

Sure to be loads of pointers tonight at Shelbourne and some Select Stakes dogs could be taking part. Looking out for Jaytee Dutch, Slippery Fred and Painstown Chief in particular. Thought Barefoot Artist a shade disappointing at Limerick but returns to the scene of his excellent victory Derby final night. Interested to see how Highview Premier, Tradition, Ballybough Mike, Sidarian Nell, Two Bens and Laughil Bolt fare also. Not sure about Crackling Jack, Crown Champ, Amazing Dude, Fiery Splendour and others currently. Will wait and see

some monster clues dropped by dogs in defeat for me last night, i just hope they go in the right races and don't avoid certain dogs

Thought Barefoot Artist, Priceless Lassie, Slippery Fred, Two Bens did particularly well as highlighted last night. Liked House Doctor too and many could be worth a punt next week. Agree with PF, some dogs dropping hints although defeated. Hush, hush but could be pointless coz doubt any early prices anyway

Stop moaning about early prices ffs, i will price every 10k race to 120% (slightly better than powers and spoils will bet to) and you can bet against me, how about that ?

WTF would you know about Irish dogs dropping hints? You are a complete spoofer if ever I heard one!! LOL

I used to find your millions of posts annoying, but they're actually hilarious at this stage! Paid in Sterling?! Like it'd be worth his while laying you 4 or 5/1 for a tenner!

No Keith or Borna

Gameboy, I'd say Dude for one. I follow Irish dogs enough (been Limerick twice this year and Shelbourne, watch videos too) to know something about them, by the way. Don't know why people never come on then, once in a blue moon, come on to criticize rather than stating their opinions about the dogs themselves Confused

Nice to see so many fine Derby night winners on the card and the penultimate race is virtually a re-run of the Derby itself! Excited

I understand connections wanted to run Hee Haws Sheriff in the sprint.

I know he has little comparable form over the trip, but it is hard to see how he was denied a run.
