sunnyhillboy needs decent ground irish
good luck with the others though, zarkandar is just about the most solid in the champion but that is a very trappy race imo |

One more sleep until Champion Day.
Looked at my portfolio and got two running tomorrow, Tuesday 7/2 Overturn 5/1 Hurricane Fly My Tent Or Yours looks terribly short but could run out an easy winner ahead of a strong Irish team, would you say? Quevega shouldnt be troubled but hard to back at long odds-on and only for big-hitters. Think about 9/1 each-way Kentford Grey Lady could be worth a few shillings. Good luck! |

Sizing Europe will take on Sprinter Sacre in Wednesday's Queen Mother Champion Chase. Many, myself included, thought he might have gone for the Ryanair, now that he's older

woody, just a question if you dont mind? do you consider yourself a judge at horses? is it as profitable for you as your dogs, pre 2012? just trying to workout if i should pay attention to your posts or readily dismiss them, thats all

I know very little about horses Addy but started a thread past two years and pop on time to time with news snippets as well as fancies. I have a go at Cheltenham every year, like the National, have done ever since i was very young. It's exciting, although quite often disappointing. I find there are lots of unexpected champions so, in answer to your question, laying probably a better policy than backing, my selections or not

Anyway, after the year you had 2012, sure you got a mind of your own!

ha ha woody, was only infront because of a bet on big bucks that blew the staking plan out the water and only copped the jackpot punting my mates card when still pi55ed, wouldnt label myself a tom segal. simonsig quevega double tomorrow and im against my tent or yours in the first with a few darts thrown at champagne fever, dodging bullets and puffin billy for the jackpot. on geraghty top jock, rest of tomorrow will be done nearer the time.

Think a lot of betting is SGE, but it's the sense of occasion. Why not have a couple of quid on the Champion Hurdle for an interest. The race has a tremendous history and dont think you'd miss a deuce. Heard 16/1 Countrywide Flame mentioned quite a bit, for instance
By:
no interest mate, i will be freezing my nuts off at Sunderland.

No worries, i'll be sat with my feet up with a cup of tea watching the telly. Had my crack at braving the elements Sheffield Sunday

supreme - I'm against MTOY, have bet jezki, river maigue and puffin billy
arkle - on overturn ante-post, wrong ground for the horse less keen to take simonsig on nowjlt - our mick, merry king, poole master, tullamore dew champion - have wanted to take on hurricane fly if short but 9/4, 5/2 is a fair price tbh as the race has cut up, could be false pace they will ride him handier this year and he has tactical speed which zarkandar does not imo, no darlan, wrong ground for grandouet, rock on ruby, cinders and ashes = not much running for you if you're taking him on, so I have bet him x-country - no idea mares - probably quevega but not at price novice h'cap - wide open, hazy tom bit overpriced imo, don't be chasing in this ![]() |

we are on about coming over to a bellevue sunday bags wood, you been , any crowds turn up?
By:
Been past two Wednesday BAGS but never a Sunday BAGS. About 50 there midweek but heard even quieter on Sunday, assuming coz of early start and everyone been on the beer the night before. No Tote pools but nice day out given decent weather. Was looking at the track recently and only a shadow of its former self. Old Chieftain stand far side back straight demolished and no brightly coloured fountain in the centre anymore. Tote board defunct and theyre waiting for new carpets. No food but bar open and bar person will make you a cup of tea on request. Usually about 3 or 4 bookies standing inside but dont get it, nobody there and they all go the same prices.
Chelts passed inspection but first race likely to be delayed half hour or so |

Oi Oi the Fly! To be fair, was expecting that last year, too. All down to Long Run now
By:
laid zarander in place was flat on race but gutted grandeout fell, thought we would have gone close at worst, oh well. 4/5 quevega to try and push on for the day but ultimately just pleased my tent or yours didnt win in the first.
By:
Why oppose Simonsig Addy. Thought you'd backed it on a double with Quevega?
By:
was my intention woody but thought the layers would get after it and it would be closer to evens, even more so after the first jolly was beat, was going to leave it late. when i could lay 1.55 just felt it was too short and went against it, albeit for small, up the run in still wanted it to win really to keep alive a lot of doubles, trebles, 4 folds, 5 folds as he was the first leg.
By:
played out a draw today, needed MTOY beat and chuffed with hurricane fly, a lot of fancied winners though
![]() all the reasons to be wary of simonsig came to fruition, he was keen and his jumping was put under pressure, but the mistakes just helped him to settle that is one very very good horse and WD everyone who backed it |
