Tx Vinnie and P.F. just got in from london to get the good news, also back him e/w at 50/1 before the s/finals to win out. seems he got his own way up front, still have Kingo going for me at 16/1.. have to say he surprised me winning last night after his tired run last week, it looks to be a great final .. fingers crossed x.CrazyHappy

Tibetan Skies hasnt been going to the bend with them, but still wouldnt swop him. Overhauling George for 2nd last night took some doing and if slightly closer to the pace in the final, or Kingo doesnt get clear again, looks the most likely winner to me, at a nice 11/2 ante-post. George is my saver. Razl Will was a fraction disappointing in the semis for me. Star continues to surprise but Bullet looks the rag.

For me woodman Tibetan Skies just gives himself too much ground to claw back, always at the back, and its unreal how the comments on the race on IGB say "fast away"Laugh he was dead last goin up for gods sake.Hard to see him win and I'd take out my stake from that 11/2 bet.Its pretty much wide open, and no reason why Crossfield cant win again.

The top 2 didn't do each other any favours on the run up on Saturday night and to be honest i can see the same happening again. George edged off ever so slightly while Tibetan wanted to be on the rails and they came together. They'd be better off drawn the opposite way around in my opinion. Again i think both of them are too short.

Razldazl Will didn't break as well last time and to be honest i find it hard to see him leading Rockchase Bullet inside him unless he doesn't come away and Will gets a flier. Added to that he will have Kingo going up well on his other side too. Kingo will win if going around in front in my opinion but can he lead again? He looks a fair price at 5/1. I made Crossfield Star my fav although i didn't have much between them all and he looks a fair price at 4/1. He was brilliant on Saturday night but there must be a worry if he can get to the lead early this time. If he does lead around it's hard to see how anything will back run him doing clocks in the 32.30s.

That leaves Rockchase Bullet who i thought ran awful in the 1st 2 rounds. However i felt he ran a lot better in his semi final and at 10/1 he could be big value. He really stuck to it well when led up in his semi final and i think he has a good chance to lead around in the final and if he does he could win. He hasn't really trapped as well as he can in the competition but he should lead up the inside 2 and off a level break i'd expect him to lead up Will and Kingo too especially been drawn inside them. Will goes up mid to wide so Bullet should have plenty of room run up. He will have to improve again from his semi final run but i got the impression he is going the right way now and i'd expect him to go quicker again and if leading can see him going in the 32.40s which will take a massive run to come from behind that.

I'd rather Kingo just smashes out and turns the corner in front but i'll play Rockchase Bullet at the price too.

My first instinct was Kingo at the start of the competition, before i knew Tibetan and George were going for it. Razl Will should also be thereabouts with a run, Bullet would benefit from trouble behind and Jet keeps surprising, wide open. I wouldnt be surprised to see a blanket finish really

I just cant make up my mind about the race, obviously i like Kingo or Crossfield to win but i can see problems at the 1st bend which will set it up for one of the inside dogs.. i not going to pick a winner but i will pick 2 who i think wont win, Raz will and Rockchase Bullet... like a good Coward  i will leave it at that.Scared

I'm on Crossfield outright at 65's here and did an each-way double on Crossfield Star @ 16's and Monleek Force @ 9/2 :(
Wide open final but hopefully Crossfield hits the lids again like he did last week :)

Crossfied was not available at 65s on here so you have done spectacularly well.

I was just looking at the heats and the runs of Crossfield star and his improvement since finishing 4th in the 1st round to running within .16 of the Late late show track record is unbeliveable .... if he breaks he will take some stopping.Happy

Can't have him. I think he is too short. 50/1 before his semi-final and 4/1 now? He won a poor enough semi where Will didn't come away, i think he will find it much harder with the line up in the final and can't see him leading round.

Hope your wrong D.F.[i backed him at 50/1 e/w]  BUT your right about finding it harder ..bullet and kingo could get to the first bend before him ..i cant see him winning if this happens.Plain

Consolation Final

Fastaway King @ 5/1

The best drawn greyhound of the night. Royal Patrol will move off from 2, Tyrur Willyjoe is wide run up so will move off from 3, Pool Hawk also wide run up will move off from 4. It does not leave much margain for error for Monleek Force early and on the run up. Added to that all 3 dogs inside him can go up well to the bend and he is not certain to go around and at 6/4 doesn't look value to me. Fastaway King on the other hand has a brilliant draw. He's not the fastest up but will have the whole inside to himself and can trun handier than usual and if Monleek Force does not turn in front i can see him picking up the others. I think he is too big a price on the draw alone.

"Think Kingo could win this if going for it?" Always fatal to change your mind. Think it was 16/1 at the start too. Thought Tibetan a shade unlucky. On prior trial form, i wouldnt have been expecting him to get that far behind and finding trouble coming through. No surprise really, my recent ante-post record has been very unlucky, even saver George couldnt pop up. Hoping to have better luck in the English Derby

Tibetan Skies unlucky??? Seriously Woody not sure what ypu where watching, Kingo didn't come away, Razldazl Will took his ground run up and Kingo was just totally different class last night, it was an exceptional run

Agree 100% P.F....I had a nice e/w bet on Kingo 16/1 at the start,... the fans in greyhound land where well looked after last night with the Skys brilliant Coverage of the english derby and RTE,s nice piece on the early days of Greyhound racing ..pity they showed a front view of the break off in the Betfair 600 [hard to know who led] ... All in all the cream came to the top at H/Qs and across the water [exceeped for MIKE Sad] ..I look forward to a great nice racing on tuesday for the q/finals.Happy

PF, think Tibetan unlucky from the respect not at his best in this competition. Showed in the past capable of pinging and leading good 550yds dogs. Okay, maybe a shade more disappointing than unlucky

at the risk of sounding like an after timer, Kingo was underestimated throughout the competition. Last years winner, 2nd only to Definate Opinion in Cesarewitch and back as good as ever this season. 6/1 for the final after winning his semi? Unbelievable!! I was too busy with work to follow this comp closely, especially Saturday, so who's to say if I would have taken 6/1, or 7/1 in his semi for that matter??
