A recording of the final of the College Causeway/ Killahan Phanter Easter Cup at Shelbourne will be included in next Tuesdays programme on Sky Sports. Lending a strong Irish flavour to the proceedings there will also be a special feature involving Pat Buckley, Seamus Graham and Paul Hennessy as they discuss their entries for the forthcoming Williamhill.com English Derby. |

BAREFOOT BULLET exploded round Wimbledon's 480 metres in a fastest-of-the-session 28.51sec on Friday night, beating Tranquil Tumie by three and three-quarter lengths and as a result has been clipped from 66/1 into 40/1 for the Derby by the sponsors.
The Stephen Bourke-trained Mustang Mission clocked 28.78sec, a time that was matched by John McGee's Oran Legend who defeated Mineola Sam by five and three-quarter lengths. Archaton Pine stopped the clockat 28.88sec, while last year's Irish Derby runner-up Oran Classic posted 28.95sec on his first visit to the south London circuit. Cumann Carling recorded 28.96sec, and Mustang Johnny shaded Mustang Ossie by half a length in 29.18sec. |

Newlawn Class, one-time ante post favourite for the Williamhill.com English Derby is a very doubtful starter after sustaining an injury in the invitation open at Shawfield on Saturday night. Following a slow start, Newlawn Class took a heavy bumping on the opening bend and trailed in at the back of the field. However trainer Pat Buckley reported yesterday that the dog is almost certain to miss the Wimbledon classic. Said Buckley: |

no luck with poor Newlawn..

Just backed Bogart, missed 100s, 66s is fair if he comes back to thrashing EOTS form. I know, I know, but he just seemed to lose it a tad last season and may be back with that long rest. Plus, widey.
I expect Nambisco to win it but wasnt on while cheering him on the Scottish and cant back him at these prices. |
