No porkies Morella, whats the point? The thread was started and ive just given my selections as asked.I always get on early in the derby, sometimes too early(NINJA JAMIE 200/1 BOHERNA BEST 66/1)plus a few others.Whats the point of backing dogs now when all of the value has gone?Anyway to answer BIG ERN i backed THE STORM 150/1 with Hills on 6th june after watching it run its first two races and thought it was very unlucky both times.next time up at Hall Green it showed pace although still got beat, pure guesswork at that stage, just got lucky i suppose.Westmead Grant 200/1 Hills on 2nd july after finishing 2nd in Peterborough Puppy Derby final then i think he raced in ireland then i placed the bet.Ive just joined the forum and enjoy the banter on hear and hope people will see me as an honest man who loves a bet on the open race scene.THANKS

Could I please congratulate RED ROBBO on his excellent locking in of top of the market prices. This is punting at its best and he should not be surprised if some scoff at the prices he has obtained. I did get the 66 on FEAR ZAFONIC THE 33 on TULLYMURRAY ACT and 150 on THURLESBURG JOKER. I have EYE ON THE STORM at a good price as well as DALCASH SCOLARI but nothing like 150 and 200 respectively. Well done!

Awsome please for your own sake stop betting November Weather he has absolutelly no chance should be around the 500-1000s mark imo,was at shawfield the other night where as you saw in the other thread i bet the second Bickerton Morry, weather smashed out and morry missed it badly t6 outpaced weather and lead and morry gave him 3l of a start and still cleared him by the bend,he turned 3rd virtually untouched and showed alittle back straight pace but was never looking like winning while morry and t6 were hastling each other up front.
Also remember this was a first round heat of a MAIDEN competition and morry and t6 are very modest at best.I dont even think he will go to wimbledon if im honest and something keeps telling me the dog must have problems ie wrist problems or something as he doesnt run a good bend and 2 trainers have got rid of him as fast as they could.on a final point about the dog im not knocking otto as hes a decent trainer but is he capable of winning an english derby???????.

By the way my bets are as follows.

Weastmead Bolt 250/1 gets me 25k :(
Weastmead Logan 50/1 gets me 7k
Scolari Me Daddy 66/1 gets me 5k
Weastmead Grant 66/1 gets me 5k
Mosedo Blue 50/1 gets me 4k
Droopys Bogart 50/1 gets me 4k
Tyrur Lohan 40/1 gets me 4k
Farloe Razl 80/1 gets me 4k
Eye Onthe Storm 66/1 gets me 4k
Deanridge Rage 50/1 gets me 4k

The ammounts are roughly and im absolutelly gutted Bolt is going for the Ladbroke 600 so i,ll have to top 1 of the others up to be my best 1,it will most probably be Scolari Me Daddy.

Report bookie 25 April 12, 2010 6:55 PM BST
possibly will have to look into that, will be gutted if it is tho as thats 2 of my main bets gone now :(
Report bookie 25 April 12, 2010 7:05 PM BST
Well at first glance it seems as though he will be there,he has impressed in each run since coming back from a lay off and the original plan was wimbledon so i cant see how that will have changed and cant find anything other than a little bit of speculation to make me think he wont be there.
As for Weastmead Bolt i still stick to what i said to Rob jnr,he wont come from behind the likes of Thurlesberg Joker and company and cant lead them however would be more suited to coming from behind a different type of dog at wimbledon ie shorter runners and would have a great chance of reaching the final then anything can happen but they have made their mind up.
Report The Weaver April 12, 2010 7:36 PM BST
i could be wrong as i didnt see the article myself, was told 2nd hand, but apparently m fortune in the rp stated he wouldn't be coming over. i've also backed him, gutted.

It hasnt been a good week for Galway owner/breeder P.J. Fahy. Following fast on the news that Tyrur Dylan will miss the Easter Cup semis due to injury comes news of a serious injury that will almost certainly rule Tyrur Lohan out of the Williamhill.com English Derby.
The dog sustained a bad injury in a trial at Nottingham on Monday, his first trial in a well planned schedule leading up to his English Derby challenge. The flying tracker had been based with Lister since last year with an English Derby challenge in mind.
However Fahy said last night:
Report BJG April 12, 2010 9:00 PM BST
Faypoint Dec broke a hock in a trial around Wimbledon.

The brilliant early pacer had been singled out as a very significant prospect for the Williamhill.com English Derby and the accident happened as he clocked 16.88 for the 273 metres trial spin.

It is a terrible blow for McKenna and he is now having second thoughts about making the trip to Wimbledon this year.
Report BJG April 14, 2010 2:07 PM BST
[i]Pat Buckley plans to have at least three runners in the forthcoming Williamhill.com English Derby but says it might yet be four strong. The event commences at Wimbledon on Thursday, May 29th.

Leading the Celtic challenge will be last years Irish Puppy Derby winner Tullymurry Act and the trainer reports the dog to be in
Report awesome impact April 14, 2010 2:21 PM BST

BAREFOOT BULLET exploded round Wimbledon's 480 metres in a fastest-of-the-session 28.51sec on Friday night, beating Tranquil Tumie by three and three-quarter lengths and as a result has been clipped from 66/1 into 40/1 for the Derby by the sponsors.

The Stephen Bourke-trained Mustang Mission clocked 28.78sec, a time that was matched by John McGee's Oran Legend who defeated Mineola Sam by five and three-quarter lengths.

Archaton Pine stopped the clockat 28.88sec, while last year's Irish Derby runner-up Oran Classic posted 28.95sec on his first visit to the south London circuit.

Cumann Carling recorded 28.96sec, and Mustang Johnny shaded Mustang Ossie by half a length in 29.18sec.

Newlawn Class, one-time ante post favourite for the Williamhill.com English Derby is a very doubtful starter after sustaining an injury in the invitation open at Shawfield on Saturday night.

Following a slow start, Newlawn Class took a heavy bumping on the opening bend and trailed in at the back of the field. However trainer Pat Buckley reported yesterday that the dog is almost certain to miss the Wimbledon classic.
