No worries razz, you wished us all the best, I forget to say gl to xmoney, be a good watch tonight with Batia in good spot at 140s, have got Finau with Korda, but would like to see Batia nail this one at them odds. Finau gets the putting yips at the business end usually

Question for Razz and you regular golf punters. Is e/w betting worth it ? Seriously, how dos it compare with win only, for R.O.I etc ?
I haven't done a lot of golf punting but every time I've gone each way, and got on a bigger price selection that finishes in the places, the bookies dead heat rules completely destroy the returns. So I just don't bother now. I'd rather go win only and pick a few, and lay stakes back in-running if they start/go well. Am I missing a trick ? Have I just been unlucky picking the e/w sections where there'a load of players tied for that place position ? |

Platini you are not missing any trick/s. In fact you have it dead right. I would seldom go each way on the golf. If I was going on a very big priced player I may then go the e/w route. Bookies dead heat rules destroy each way. Good luck with your bets.

JayTrump's got it just about right and so have you! Dead heats make it so difficult but you can get lucky occasionally - I was okay last week with Bhatia finishing 4th on his own. Generally backing to lay is what I try to do most of the time - but not always. I do this thread to level stakes for fairness really but there's normally a lot of "chopping about". Nothing like watching on Sunday night if you've got one or two in contention! Best of luck. |
