They needed to put Garcia with someone else, the match position is that bad. My immediate reaction is that they'll be lucky to get a 3-1 loss best case scenario if someone plays out of there skin & a USA team is out of sorts is a tie & that isn't going to be good enough when your already 6 behind. Yanks all seem to be in form , 4 or 5 of ours not in form . Rory in particular seems to have lost any spark , not sure why Fleetwood is not playing on Saturday morning .
When the Yanks can leave Finau out it shows their strength in depth at present . He was brilliant today . |

Spot on Kelly, too many of our players have become inconsistent these days, just waiting for them to fluff their lines, whereas USA squad is top quality and score so far reflects that. Need to win first lot today 3-1 to try and get confidence up to stand a chance, could be a whitewash

Generally, throughout, the Euro pairings look like they've been picked at random
Each team gets to play three practice rounds. The US team pairings have largely followed how they were paired in practice. The Euro pairings have not. In the first session yesterday, you had Hovland / Casey and Westwood / Fitzpatrick as pairings when they hadn't practiced together at all. Casey and Hovland are now on their 3rd different partners. Were they trying to make it hard for the US to guess their pairings or have they got so used to winning that they just think they can pair anybody with anybody ? |

Padraig is a clever guy but he tries to be too clever. Just need to look at how he set himself back as a player tinkering with his swing when he was winning majors.

Ryder Cup could become very much like Presidents Cup moving forward. Rahm, Hovland and Rory will continue to be there but who else? Nobody really coming through and the guys that have been great - Rose, Stenson, Sergio, Poults, Westwood all past it or at their expiry dates. If we're relying on Fleetwood and Fitz to make it interesting we are in for disappointment.
